Characters are only broken down by principal, supporting, recurring, and minor in the character portals (and template:characternav), not in the categories on the character pages. However, actors are categorized by principal, etc. using categories the actor pages. So we're in a unique position with people like Santiago Cabrera, Leonard Roberts, and Tawny Cypress, who were once principal cast members, but are no longer. Should we leave them alone, or recategorize them as Former Principal Cast? I'm thinking we should make the new category. We wouldn't have to touch Portal:Principal Cast since we've treated Portal:Principal Cast/Season One as an archive. However, it makes me wonder what to do with Template:Actornav. I suppose we could add a new section for former principal cast members, or we could just kind of tag them on to the end of the existing Principal section with a "Former" caveat or something. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:01, 27 September 2007 (EDT)

  • Agreed. A former cat should do. However, if an actor gets promoted, I don't think they should be "Former supporting" and then in the Principal cat, just the principal cast.--Bob 03:03, 28 September 2007 (EDT)
    • Heh, I actually started to write that, and then decided not to since I thought it would just be too long of a post. I'm glad you read my mind, Bob. I agree, the category should only apply to principal cast, especially since "supporting" and "recurring" are our own designations. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:20, 28 September 2007 (EDT)
