- The town known as Ithaca, NY is a real-world area located inside a city of the same name. The City of Ithaca, NY has a separate government and neither is considered part of the other.
- Although the drawing of the campus in the graphic novel resembles that of the real-life Ithaca College, which is located completely in the town. However, it is unknown as to which college Anna is supposed to be attending. Part of the main campus of Cornell University is also located in the town of Ithaca, NY.
