About
Parasite
Hiro uses a computer in Linderman's archives to find the Kensei sword. The computer indicates the sword's catalog number is CRM-114. In A Clockwork Orange, the main character Alex is given Experimental Serum 114, a phonetic play on CRM-114.
Notes
- In Stanley Kubrick's Dr Strangelove: Or how I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb, the main radio in the bomber is designated the CRM-114.
- Malcolm McDowell, who portrays Mr. Linderman, is possibly best known for his portrayal of Alex in A Clockwork Orange.
- In Back to the Future, the amplifier in Dr. Brown's laboratory is labeled CRM-114.
- On Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the Breen manufacture a hand-held weapon called the CRM 114.
- The film was adapted from the American version of the novel, which until recently did not include the original final chapter. It thus ends quite differently than Burgess intended.
- Jason Badower said that he used Malcolm McDowell's image in A Clockwork Orange as a basis for drawing Austin in War Buddies, Parts 4 and 5.
