Rachel Mills is a Private in the United States Marine Corps recruited by Pinehearst as part of their super soldier program. She is a Synthetic Evolved human with the ability to teleport.
Character History
Our Father
Rachel trains with the other recruits at Pinehearst Headquarters in Fort Lee.
Webisode:The Recruit, Part 1
Rachel is interrogated by Angela in an unknown Primatech facility in Tappen, NJ about the whereabouts of the formula. Twelve hours before, the explosion at Pinehearst causes the building to start collapsing. Rachel, trying to save her comrades, injects herself and gains the ability of teleportation.
Graphic Novel:Stuck in the Middle
Mills takes a shower at Pinehearst. Mills remains unaware she is being spied upon by Ryan Hanover via a miniscule peephole; who leers at her naked body and remarks maybe that is the reason women are in the military. Shortly afterward, Mills comes out after hearing a crashing sound (really the stack of boxes Ryan was standing on collapsing) and finds Ryan walking away, though he denies hearing anything.
Heroes Evolutions
An intercepted mobile message posted on Hulu.com is a video message Rachel left for a loved one, Amy, before she left to Pinehearst. In the message, Rachel comments about having been selected for a program and that she will be MIA for a couple weeks. Rachel notes that she had been stationed in Iraq for the past 16 months, but that this where she should be; the weather is nicer, the pay is better, and there's a lot of cute boys.
Evolved Human Abilities
Mills was discovered to possess the ability to teleport herself across certain distances. It is unknown what her range is, but it apparently activates subconsciously (as it first manifested when Mills was in danger of being crushed; and her ability sent her to safety).
Notes
- The video message of Rachel on Hulu.com was posted on December 9, 2008, and entitled The Recruit: Rachel.
- Rachel holds the rank of Private.
