The Russian was an evolved human with the ability to change his own age.
Character History
The Russian is a thief, murderer, and con artist, but thanks to his ability, police are unable to arrest him. This has led the Company to believe he is the patriarch of a criminal family. Noah, Ivan, and Claude chase the Russian through a train station, and onto a train. They eventually subdue him, but as Noah prepares to shoot him, he transforms into a young boy.
The Russian has the ability to change his own age. He has used this ability to change his apparent age from that of an old man to a young man. He seemed to be able to utilize the skills he had as a young man, such as strength and knife handling. He was also capable of shifting his age to that of a young boy, so as to try preventing Noah from killing him. He has been seen with at least four known ages, previously thought to be two siblings (a teenager and a younger child), their father, and their grandfather.
