I'd really like to get Symbols, Peter's scar, and Items combined. Is "Things" too dumb? I want something that will cover all of it (and frankly, "Items" is a pretty poor match for publications and research already). :No, "things" is not too dumb, it's just too close to "items". I've been racking my brain, and I've exhausted my thesaurus. :) You just can't have both. If you're thinking of changing "Items" to "Things", I don't think it's the best solution, but it's the best one I can think of. It certainly allows for stuff from Symbols, the scar, and just about anything else you want to add. "Miscellaneous" works too, but I just don't like it. Yeah, go with "Things". — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:35, 4 February 2007 (EST) |

::I mean, we've got People (Characters) and Places. If we go with "Things", we should be able to handle any concrete nouns they throw at us.--Hardvice (talk) 18:37, 4 February 2007 (EST) |

Windchimes
- What's the deal with not calling them Claire's wind chimes? I must have missed something. Most items are So-and-so's such-and-such.--Hardvice (talk) 00:04, 1 February 2007 (EST)
- Oh, well, that was sort of arbitrary. I was actually going through the wanted pages list earlier today, and there was only one "Claire's wind chimes", but like 4 "wind chimes", so I just changed the one to fit the majority. I guess a redirect would work. ... I think I may have also been thinking that we would eventually call it "The Haitian's wind chime", but that's not really an important point. Yeah, go ahead and change it back to "Claire's wind chimes" or whatever, that's fine. I don't usually have my brain turned on correctly at work, what with my students around me and all. And yes, I really did find a kid peeing in the sink today. I kid you not. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:09, 1 February 2007 (EST)
- Either way. I was just wondering if I missed another knock-down, drag-em-out.--Hardvice (talk) 00:17, 1 February 2007 (EST)
- I considered "Loretta Lynn's wind chimes", but that just sounded dirty. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:18, 1 February 2007 (EST)
Heroes/Herpes
I told you they were perilously close together. My new arch-nemesis: the world-famous template image-screenshit. I must catch myself typing that at least once a day.--Hardvice (talk) 18:08, 1 February 2007 (EST)
- LOL - I remember you mentioned that .... Shoulda heeded your warning ... Even better, my son sometimes crawls on my lap when I'm typing, and bangs on the keyboard (btw, I blame him for all my typos). Well, once, I kid you not, he spelled a certain euphamism for the female genetalia. Mmm, that's my boy, that's my boy. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:23, 1 February 2007 (EST)
Theories Subpages
OK, I got Template:Theories changed so we can point links to the subpages. I set up options for Theories:Miscellaneous, Theories:People, Theories:Items, and Theories:Events, but it's super easy to add others. The only difficult part is we'll have to go back to each page that uses the theories template and add page= to direct the link to the appropriate subpage. There are only 51, so it shouldn't be too bad. Then, all we have to do is move theories to the appropriate subpage and change Theories to be more of a gateway (perhaps set up Portal:Theories and just redirect Theories to it, even.)--Hardvice (talk) 01:51, 4 February 2007 (EST)
- Yeah, I just noticed that. Great idea. Question: what if, down the road, somebody puts in "miscellaneous" instead of "misc", or "event" instead of "events" - does it throw everything off? Also, what would you like me to do? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:56, 4 February 2007 (EST)
- If somebody puts an incorrect page, it will just link to Theories. I can take care of the moves and the updates. I just wanted to let you know things are all set. What's your opinion on Theories? Should it redirect to Portal:Theories, include Portal:Theories, or none of the above? We could also just do text links like List of recurring themes.--Hardvice (talk) 02:03, 4 February 2007 (EST)
- No, I don't think it really lends itself to a portal. I think it's best as a text link - "For theories about items, see here", "For theories about people, see here", "For absolutely ridiculous theories, see here". I guess a portal could work, but I think it's better as just text links. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:08, 4 February 2007 (EST)
- I'll probably make a portal either way. We already have the Tinfoil Hat guy in the portal bar ... may as well put him to better use.--Hardvice (talk) 02:27, 4 February 2007 (EST)
- Yeah, actually, he would be kinda cool. And as I'm seeing the pages (they look so much cleaner, btw), I can envision a nice portal.
A few things: The email should probably go under Theories:Items, since the page is listed as being Category:Media. Patient Zero should probably come off Items and become either People (though it's very populated) or Theories:Miscellaneous. And I like that you put the paintings under Powers. Excellent job! — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:31, 4 February 2007 (EST)
- I put the paintings under Powers? Whoops. I meant to put them under Items, but I guess Powers makes sense (since the theories are actually about the prophetic nature of the paintings). I did intentionally put Uluru in Misc. though, since the theories aren't about the painting.--Hardvice (talk) 02:48, 4 February 2007 (EST)
- Yeah, I kinda like the paintings on powers. And I noticed Uluru where he is, and think that's best, personally. His girlfriend might have a differing opinion... I'm curious to see how the new pages work out - I have a feeling we'll get a few people that will feel compelled to add to every page. But I think this will turn out much nicer. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:52, 4 February 2007 (EST)

Vanity List
Look at the new list image again. It's cut-and-pasted from other letters. My guess is somebody is trying to immortalize himself. I'm going to revert it.--Hardvice (talk) 02:36, 4 February 2007 (EST)
