Located in the heart of Europe, Germany was the main stage for World War II. Hana Gitelman's grandmother fought the Nazis here in the 1940s, and was eventually captured by them.

On December 4, 2007, Hana began posting a four-part Global News Interactive video documentary of Richard Drucker's life. In part two, it is revealed that, as a young boy, Drucker was left for dead in the forest when his mother (Hana's grandmother) was captured. His father later found him and smuggled him into Spain.
