The "Sylar watch" could be from his genetic father, Paul. + Paul Syler may have been an earlier encounter of Gabriel's at a young age that was an evoloved human that had something similar to Nicky with a "Jeckle and Hyde" mutation and he had aquired his power. (Paul may have also been a watch maker, which would provide an opportunity for contact)
