The Ruins of Copán is an archeological site in extreme western Honduras. The ruins are from the remains of a Mayan village, known as Copán, and include a Mayan pyramid, ballcourt, along with other Mayan artifacts. Tourist businesses including restaurants and shops are located closeby and form the present city of Copán.
