Character History

Heroes Evolutions

Syn's childhood was considered normal. Named after her grandmother, Cynthia Griffiths, she grew up in a happy home with good values, love and respect. Syn is an only child and often spent a lot of time alone in her room, especially during the cold winters. It can take a toll on a person's psyche.

Generally a happy child, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. In fact, she was almost too good. A mind like a sponge, she sailed through middle school into high school. Honors and advanced college preparation courses consumed her life. No time for boys. She feels she is too smart for the world and wants to prove it.

primatechpaper.com has an Assignment Tracker profile on Syn (file: C021; password: XY948sA). Her personal history reads:

Syn was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to parents Edward and Barbara Anders. Her childhood was for the most part normal. She grew up in a happy home with good values, love and respect. Syn is an only child and often spent a lot of time alone in her room, especially during the cold winters.

Generally a happy child, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. In fact, she was almost too good. A mind like a sponge, she sailed through middle school into high school. Honors and advanced college preparation courses consumed her life. No time for boys.

The case file also includes a psychological profile:

Until now, Syn has only really used her ability to amuse herself in those long winters. An extra smile here to stay up a little later or a few more tears there to get some sympathy. Sure, this can simply be called manipulation, but the difference is, it actually works. So far she cannot use her ability on herself.

Syn's ability can obviously go either way. She can make them feel joy, which causes it spread to others. She can make them feel sympathetic and help someone out in need. On the other hand, she can make people angry to incite a riot. She can make them feel depression, so they commit suicide. She can make them so frightened, they cry like a baby.

Syn can control the volume and intensity. She can make someone feel extreme happiness and suddenly be moved to tears of joy...or furious anger, causing the heart to race and, if pushed, to explode.

Additional notes:

Someone named Gary has seen her in the Dusty Lounge on Habbo.com. Find them and say "Primatech." They will give you instructions on what to do next.

Evolved Human Abilities

Syn's ability is empathic manipulation. Unlike Peter Petrelli who mimics and/or duplicates the abilities of other evolved humans, she can manipulate the emotions after physically touching anyone, persuading them to do what she wants. Also, different from Guillame (the Haitian's father), who can introduce positive or negative sensations in other people, Syn manipulates emotions and can control the volume and intensity of those emotions as well. She can make them feel joy, which causes it to spread to others. She can make them feel sympathetic and help someone out in need. On the other hand, she can make people angry to incite a riot. She can make them feel depression, so they commit suicide. She can make them so frightened, they cry like a baby. She can make someone feel extreme happiness and suddenly be moved to tears of joy...or furious anger, causing the heart to race and, if pushed, to explode.

Until now, she has only really used her ability to amuse herself in those long winters. An extra smile here to stay up a little later or a few more tears there to get some sympathy. However, so far she cannot use her ability on herself.

According to her assignment tracker file at primatechpaper.com, Syn's control index is 45%. Her data analysis shows her biological level is at 80, cerebral at 65, elemental at 10, and temporal/spatial at 35.

Notes

  • Syn was introduced as part of a collaboration between Habbo and NBC.
