**I think we'll need to adjust the individual templates, but you can go ahead and add them if you like. It's easy enough to change. ** Ok, it's mostly working. See Template:AppearancesNothingToHide and Episode:Nothing to Hide. The section edit labels all work, and the section edit for the Appearances section goes directly to the template. The only problem with this approach is that the Character Appearances section doesn't show up in the TOC.--Hardvice <small>(talk)</small> 15:01, 9 April 2007 (EDT) |

Bennet/HRG
The possibility that Bennet has a power has been suggested quite often, but it has been pointed out just as often that the Haitian is almost always around when someone's powers are blocked. Bennet even specifically attributed the blocking of Eden's power to the Haitian in Six Months Ago. The prevailing theory is that the Haitian has only one power, but it has multiple effects. It seems to interfere with other powers passively; just by his presence he blocks Matt's telepathy, even through walls and from a significant distance. Actively, it interferes with mental function, destroying memories and possibly knocking people out. It's possible that the Haitian reduces Sylar's power simply by being in the same building. It's also possible that Bennet was drugging Sylar to limit his power, or taking some other mundane measure to control him. In any case, there's no solid evidence that Bennet is an evolved human at all, at least not yet. --Ted C 17:33, 24 January 2007 (EST)
- I agree there is absolutely no evidence yet for HRG....I'm just making a prediction. Call it a 'gut-feeling based on the points I raised above. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 17:37, 24 January 2007 (EST)
Brian Davis's Address
Hi there, HiroDynoSlayer! Good find on the post-it note pic. I uploaded the image for you, cutting out the watermark. Here's the link: Image:Brian Davis post-it.jpg. Incidentally if it's a screencap, I don't think it matters if you actually captured it or if somebody else did. Because the img had the watermark on it, it's pretty obvious that it's a screenshot, and I put the appropriate source info on the image page. Feel free to add it to the Brian Davis#Gallery when you want. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:46, 26 January 2007 (EST)
- Thanks for adding the pic. I removed the info about the Drug Induced Hallucination from the gallery, since that's speculation. The post-it note could have been misplaced in the folder, or Davis may have been a source for somebody else's file, or a lot of other theories. But we have the picture there, and people can read it and draw their own conclusions. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:09, 26 January 2007 (EST)
Links, Underscores, and Piping
Just a head-up to make life easier: I've noticed you've been using underscores in links to articles with spaces in their names (e.g. Kaito_Nakamura) and then using a pipe to remove the underscore (Kaito Nakamura). MediaWiki actually doesn't differentiate between spaces and underscores in links (even when they are explicit, like in image names), so you can just link to Kaito Nakamura and it will work fine. Like I said, even if an article or image title contains explicit underscores (e.g. ), you can still ignore the underscores when linking to it (Image:powers micah atm.jpg). Hope that helps!--Hardvice (talk) 12:43, 31 January 2007 (EST)
- Appreciate it! Any tips are great. I've been writing computure code for years and years, but am still new and getting my arms around the whole wiki-markup. Is there a good place to go to that explains in general terms, the wiki approach to scripting, and/or verse html or other markup, etc? If there is a good quick-ref link for the actually scripting formatting, that would be real useful to me in the future. (HiroDynoSlayer-talk) 13:56, 31 January 2007 (EST)
- Help:Editing has a (short) crash-course on WikiMarkup, but there are links to much more in-depth resources at MediaWiki on Help:Contents.--Hardvice (talk) 14:56, 31 January 2007 (EST)
Dungeons and Dragons
Hey, there. I noticed you uploaded the D&D logo. Unfortunately, having an ampersand (&) in a link throws everything out of whack. I reuploaded the image for you here: Image:DandD.jpg - the old one is deleted. (If you could add a source, that'd be great...) Hope that helps. :) - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:57, 31 January 2007 (EST)
New Links Page with Videos
Hey! I got a sample version of the new links page set up here. Lemme know what you think.--Hardvice (talk) 18:07, 2 February 2007 (EST)
Meredith's travels

James Walker and Ice generation
- Hey, HDS -- thanks for your message about JW and ice generation. First, it's not really about convincing me that James Walker had freeze. I might be a sysop here, but I'm not in charge. Even Admin, the starter of this wiki and the only bureaucrat here, will be quick to say that he's not in charge either. This is a community wiki, and the community is in charge. If you want to convince anybody of something, ya gotta convince the community. :)
That said, the evidence you presented on my talk page is only compelling in convincing me that Sylar had the power to freeze, and that he used it on James Walker. But if Walker had the power, how would Sylar have used it on him before he stole it? It's actually a more convincing argument that Mrs. Walker had the power, Sylar stole it from her, and then used it on James. (Of course, Mrs. Walker didn't have her brain removed, so that whole theory is bunk).
I agree that the first person associated with the power is James Walker, but that doesn't mean he had it. It would be a little bit like saying, "James Walker was killed with a scythe, so James Walker must have invented the scythe." Who's to say that David didn't have the power and Sylar obtained in three months ago? Or another one of the many victims killed by Sylar, like this guy or any of the dead people from the list?
There's just too much compelling evidence that James didn't have the power, and that somebody prior to his death did have it. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:00, 21 February 2007 (EST)
Image Browsing
There's no easy way to browse, especially browsing old versions of a pic. Check out Special:Newimages, a gallery of new images. If you're looking for an old pic, it's a beast, but the gallery feature is quite nice. Also, try searching Special:Imagelist -- it's not a gallery, and it doesn't work if the file name is not very descriptive, but it's a good starting point. After that, I'd suggest searching some of the image categories. And finally, if you still need help, there's a few of us that are pretty well-aware of what images there are, just because of the sheer amount of time spent categorizing, filing, and uploading the pics -- if you need help, just ask. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:10, 26 February 2007 (EST)
Screenshots or Promtional
Hey, HDS ... The images you uploaded are great. Are they screenshots or promtional images? If they're promotional (from NBC or elsewhere), then put image-promtional from NBC.com (or from wherever you got them). Thanks! — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:07, 28 February 2007 (EST)
Peter vs Sylar
I believe you were talking about a page comparing Peter and Sylar, I just wanted to let you know I made one here. Any Input would be appreciated -Lөvөl 03:44, 7 March 2007 (EST)
- Have you seen how the Powers page has been updated? It has two categories for both Peter and Sylar, showing what powers they have 'munged' from others....so it might be that a separate page will now be redundant. What might be a suggestion for this page, in a slightly different direction, would be to list a Chronology from Genesis forward by Episode, and show when and what power either Peter or Sylar manifested. Just a thought. That would then go to deeper detail than what the Powers page goes into. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 03/7/2007 10:07 (EST)
Categories on Images
Hi. I notice you seem to forget to put categories on images you upload. Just remember to do that. Heroe(talk) 21:34, 27 March 2007 (EDT)
Unamed
Hey HDS, are you going to create unamed 5 6 etc ? Because on the Chandra's journal page there is more than 4 entry in the gallery, no ? Or I miss something maybe. -- FrenchFlo (talk) (contribs) 11:22, 28 March 2007 (EDT)
- Yes, I am just slow. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 03/28/2007 11:24 (EST)
- Huhu ok no problem I wasn't saying that :) Thanks for doing what you do! -- FrenchFlo (talk) (contribs) 11:27, 28 March 2007 (EDT)
- Hey Hiro, I don't get the age of the unnamed peoples. For exemple, 13 years old in 2003, I'm not really aware about the timeline but if the show happens in 2006, can't we say that she is 16 years old ? -- FrenchFlo (talk) 12:34, 28 March 2007 (EDT)
- I did the age that way, because we don't know if they are still alive or not, just that they were alive and that age, in the year Chandra recorded it in his journal. I could have added up the passed years between Chandra's date and 2007 and added that to their age to get their 2007 age, but then we would have to update it each year to keep it current. Since these characters may not ever evolve into re-occurring characters, it really isn't worth the upkeep. (and if they do, we'll probably get a plethora of info on them) The only caveat I did do with them, was to forecast their age in current time, so that it might help us recognize them if we see someone debuted on the show from their location with their power, of the same gender and age. What I think is really interesting, is the lady who would be 123 present day. Chandra showed her power (Telepathy) being recorded in 1971, which puts her as a very early generation evolved human and contemporary of Austin; but at the time, she would have been over 60 years older than Austin. There is no info to connect them; but she is the oldest evolved human that has been introduced in the show to date. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 03/28/2007 13:45 (EST)
"The s.o.b. is thinking in Japanese."

Peter TK/STM
In the STM article, it says Peter demonstrates it on the roof. In the discussion for that page, it's agreed upon. In addition to that, there's an interview (I'll find it after I write a paper) from the writers (the one Aron does normally) where he said it was STM, not telekinesis that stopped the darts.--Bob 08:51, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
- I don't think there's anything wrong with taking out the link. First, we need to remember that even if we all agree upon something, it doesn't necessarily make it correct. Second, what was agreed upon was that it was most likely a combination of telekinesis and space-time manipulation. Third, there's really nothing wrong with abstention from using a link. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 09:16, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
Appearances templates
It looks like you're in the middle of doing the appearances templates, so I want to catch you before you get too far into it. I wouldn't put the "Character Appearances" headings in the template itself because it throws off the headings that follow it. Try clicking on the "edit" button on one of the episode pages to see what I mean. (See here for my other concerns...) Thanks for taking on that project, though -- that is definitely not something I wanted to do. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:51, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
Headings on Templates
I'm actually right in the middle of working out a solution to the template headings. I went ahead and rolled back the changes you made for now; I need them as-is for testing. Sorry about that.--Hardvice (talk) 13:47, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
