Re:Telepathy thoughts

Telepathy has been shown to do more than just listen to another's thoughts, that was the only thing Matt could do at first, but as Maury showed and said, it grows into more, "pull became push" as Matt said to Angela. When Sylar was first apprehended by the Company, before Homecoming, Noah said he was interesting cause while everyone the Company had seen so far had only one ability, Sylar himself had several, and they were trying to figure that one out. By the shown defining what it is, I mean that they set the rules of what each power is, how it works and how it's limited. In Heroes, regeneration doesn't work if you have something stuck in your brain, but in the Marvel universe, either Wolverine or the Hulk (not sure which right now, perhaps both) have healed from skeletons. It's the same thing with telepathy, when we were first presented to the power, it was just "I can hear your thoughts", but after Maury showed up, telepathy was expanded to sending messages, planting thoughts, creating visions (a bit like illusion)... Just take a look at the latest episode, it threw out of the window much of the definition we had so far for intuitive aptitude. Mental manipulation was so named cause it was the only thing (other than "The Haitian's ability") that accurately describe both as aspects of his ability, the ability suppressing and the memory erasing one.
