Richard Drucker

Ryan Odagawa just wrote me. I asked him if the "Druck..." reference was in the script or not and if it's really supposed to be Drucker. He said:

It's supposed to be Drucker, but actually when I drew him, it wasn't in the script, I was just putting something in the bg. So it could actually be Drucker's ancestor too, not necessarily him.

• That's both enlightening and confusing at the same time. None of Drucker's ancestors had the last name "Drucker", as it's a coined name made up by the adoptive father. It is a shortened version of "Don Rucker", which is a phonetic mispelling of the name "Rooijker". So it can't be anyone other than Richard Drucker in that painting. This also leads into my theory that Rick was the shooter...Maybe the other writers saw this novel, took the reference and ran with it... it's very possible especially if the rumors that the original ending of Volume 3 was rewritten are true.
