* James, you're one of the few members of the cast that I see performing interviews time after time for different smaller Heroes fan sites and podcasts rather than only interviewing with the larger news sites. I just wanted to express my thanks for devoting so much of your time and attention to interacting with your fans as directly as possible. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 00:40, 23 August 2007 (EDT))

* While you clearly enjoy your role as Ando, do you feel any dis-satisfaction at the Hollywood notion that all Asians seems to be interchangeable, that any Asian race can play any other Asian race? For example, you are a Korean-American playing a Japanese. Garrett Wang, who was Ensign Kim on ST:Voyager was a Chinese-American playing a Korean, and in [[Memoirs of a Geisha]], an international cast from all over Asia, including Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, and more were all playing geishas, which is of course, Japanese. Masi, and Takei are the only exceptions in recent memory (they both get to play Japanese characters). What is your opinion on that?

James Kyson Lee interview

This is really short notice. I'm calling James Kyson Lee on Friday 8/24 at 4 pm, EST. Any questions go below--you know the drill. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:51, 22 August 2007 (EDT)

  • Wow, nice interview you snagged! Hope my questions help.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:21, 22 August 2007 (EDT)
    • Thanks, and yes, good questions. This is a bit of different interview because I've had to go through James's publicist and manager (though he sent me an email, too). It's been a bit more back-bending than I'm used to, but I suppose that's natural, eh? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:23, 22 August 2007 (EDT)
      • Yeah, that's hollywood. ;)--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:25, 22 August 2007 (EDT)
      • Ryan, when are you going to add the new power? Ryan: Power to get Awesome interviews. haha. Great job getting James Kyson Lee! So cool! I'm still working on a Hayden meeting. :l My dad hasn't talked to her agent, Valerie lately... But who knows. Maybe soon I'll ask again. (Not that I'd want to bug them and seem like an overly addicted freak.) Even though I am. haha. Anyway, awesome. I can't wait to see his responses. Jason Garrick 23:48, 22 August 2007 (EDT)
        • Hehe, that's great Jason. :) It'd be great if you got to meet Hayden. She seems really down-to-earth. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:14, 23 August 2007 (EDT)
        • Well moreover I'd maybe just ask for an interview for here. I'll see what I can do. Jason Garrick 00:38, 23 August 2007 (EDT)
  • Excellent job, Ryan! I'm pleased we're able to interview the people we have in the past. They're people with great information and stories to tell, but since they're not quite in the limelight they frequently get missed. The interview with James will be a great addition to the collection. (Admin 00:45, 23 August 2007 (EDT))
    • Thanks. This was a bit of a coup and required a bit of work. I hope it'll be worth it. Your questions are particularly insightful and thoughtful. Thanks for helping me feel more prepared for Friday. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:02, 23 August 2007 (EDT)
