knives

Okay so i just did my best to show HOW someone could possibly get the symbol out of this one---- and this was my best shot --- this is rediculous --- who in the right mind would see this -- but then again --- i see the symbol places as well --- the onlly thing that would lead me to believe that this is the symbol -- is the fact that they had to set it up like that in that crazy mess.

  • Heh, good job taking a "stab" at that one. Oh, oh ... Anyway, good try. However, your alternately using positive and negative space to creat the symbol. Also, the curvy part seems ... invented out of nothing. It's cute (I especially like the pink), but I think it's a bit of a stretch. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:57, 2 April 2007 (EDT)
    • yeah but the stones and shards of glass also used positive and negative space interchangeably --- but yeah --- i thought it was crazy Guy 12:26, 3 April 2007 (EDT)
      • Actually, the stones didn't use any negative space to create the Symbol--the empty space was used like a dot-to-dot. The knives don't create any curvy spine, you have to either create one in your mind or follow a very angular negative space. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:40, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
  • Haha, definitely a nice attempt. I, on the other hand, have just spent the past two hours watching the original pilot (the longer one pre-released for some viewers, I have it saved to my iTunes) trying to see if the symbol might actually have shown up in Genesis. My friends and I, possibly due to the effects of staying up past 1am, thought one COULD say you see the symbol when Isaac is on the floor after his overdose saying we have to stop it. His leg is curved to one side, Simone above him curved to make an S, and his arms are folded over to the one side as he points ... huh? Huh?! Come on ... :) — Vangogh414 (talk) 02:15, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
  • Is this what you're talking about? Because I see Pokey. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:27, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
  • Aw, Pokey! :). But, yeah, that was the scene I was talking about ... although now that there's an actual screenshot, our whole theory got shot to ... well, you know. — Vangogh414 (talk) 14:07, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

Geometry book

Did Claire's geometry book really appear in One Giant Leap? Without going back and looking, I'm pretty sure it was in Don't Look Back. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:06, 14 April 2007 (EDT)

  • I just checked and sure enough that exact shot is from One Giant Leap. I also went back and checked Don't Look Back as well and I don't see it in there. (Admin 11:59, 14 April 2007 (EDT))

The first time

When was the first time you noticed the symbol? For me, it was when I noticed it in the algorithm. Heroe!(talk) 00:30, 21 April 2007 (EDT)

  • Me too! But then I started noticing it on Chandra's book and the Haitian's necklace and Hiro's sword.-User:Citizen

Diamonds

  • Anybody see it here? I see what may be a pile of diamonds, or even the first letter of my last name, as a stretch. But no rungs, no symbol. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:16, 11 May 2007 (EDT)
  • I don't see anything but diamond neither. -- FrenchFlo (talk)        13:21, 11 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Doesn't look like it to me, either. (Admin 13:23, 11 May 2007 (EDT))
    • (So it was either and not neither. I wasn't sure.) -- FrenchFlo (talk)        13:25, 11 May 2007 (EDT)
      • Either is used with a negative verb and neither is used with an affirmative verb. "I don't speak French. I don't either. Neither do I." — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:48, 11 May 2007 (EDT)
    • I can kinda pick out the S-curve, but I'm not getting any side bars. --Ted C 14:01, 11 May 2007 (EDT)
      • Yeah, that's a stretch. Heroe!(talk) (contribs) Random Page! 14:07, 11 May 2007 (EDT)
      • I can force myself to see the top two rungs, but there's nothing on the bottom. Plus, it's a continuous shot in Unexpected: Matt pours the diamonds out of the bag and they land in that shape--no cut. They'd have had to digitally edit it to get that shot to form the Symbol; if they had done so, it would have been a heck of a lot clearer (they're not actually very subtle with most of these appearances).--Hardvice (talk) 14:27, 11 May 2007 (EDT)

Godsend

So does the symbol means Godsend for real or ... ? Anyway, Hiro says godsend when Ando points him out the symbol. -- FrenchFlo (talk)        15:33, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
