Welcome to Heroes Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you are new to Heroes, you might want to start at the New User Portal.
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style.
- If you're ready to get started, Template:Todo lists some ways you can help out.
- Of course, if you have your own idea for a new article, that's great, too.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the Summary field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add --~~~~ or click the signature button.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to the end of your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for an administrator.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
Once again, welcome to Heroes Wiki!
Haitian theory
Please, keep informations like the one you added out of theory pages, information like that is considered spoiler, and thus should be kept and discussed only in spoiler pages. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 20:17, 23 September 2009 (EDT)
- You added a confirmed spoiler information to the theory section of the spoiler page. That section is for theories which are based on spoiler informations. Add an entry with a link for the interview containing spoilers in the spoiler section of the spoiler page. You won't have to, cause someone else added it a while ago. Spoilers
Anything not aired is a spoiler. Doesn't matter if it has been said if the actor is scheduled. Not everyone watches previews, or reads upcoming plans for Heroes making those things spoilers.--Catalyst · Talk · HL 18:06, 17 November 2009 (EST)
Then what is the point of the discussion page? Not everyone knows to click that link, either, from the Main wiki home page. On this discussion page for Joseph Sullivan, there are discussion about things that have not aired. BTW, most people editing heroes wiki pages "watches previews, or reads upcoming plans for Heroes." - Some don't. I don't usually. And the discussion is for peoples ideas, not to post spoilers. So if they want to know spoilers they will follow the link that says, see here for spoilers.--Catalyst · Talk · HL 18:18, 17 November 2009 (EST)
- Interesting. Where can I find the source of your info regarding discussion pages, as I currently cannot find this as a help item?
- I don't think there is exactly a page that says to not post spoilers on discussion pages. It's just something that you learn over time on the wiki. If you do not believe me, you can ask any other user, or even an administrator, if this is true or not. They will tell you the same.--Catalyst · Talk · HL 18:29, 17 November 2009 (EST)
- Here's where discussion pages get tricky, then. What is being discussed is, I believe, speculation. On the Help:Style page it mentions theories, fan creations, and spoilers very clearly as speculation. This was why I objected to my post being edited. I have no problem with edits, I just think that there needs to be a more uniform method of posting that, right now, is definitely not being adhered to. I'm not mad or trying to start a fight, just looking for some consistency. Thanks so much for your quick responses! Empath1974 03:34, 17 November 2009 (PDT)
