Crystallization is the ability to change the molecular alignment of matter into a brittle crystalline structure.

Cris Malmont

Cris uses this ability to crystallize matter. He has demonstrated it on solid (asphalt, metal) and liquid (clouds) matter. Solids become very brittle, similar to ice crystals, allowing him to break them with ease. He used it on water vapor to convert them to hard ice crystals. It appears to need skin contact, though he can apparently convert matter within a few inches of his hand. It is an almost instantaneous process, as Cris was able to break through a chain link fence as he was thrown into it. It also works against organic matter, as he crystallized Ryan Covington’s fist, causing him injuries. It is unknown if Cris is immune to his own power.

Examples

  • During his fight with Company agents, effectively crystallizes asphalt, a chain link fence, water vapor, and the surface of Ryan Covington's fist.
