Welcome to Heroes Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you are new to Heroes, you might want to start at the New User Portal.
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style.
- If you're ready to get started, Template:Todo lists some ways you can help out.
- Of course, if you have your own idea for a new article, that's great, too.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the Summary field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add --~~~~ or click the signature button.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to the end of your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for an administrator.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
Once again, welcome to Heroes Wiki!
Adding Photos
When you add photos please post new ones, don't just delete old ones first without discussing it.--Skywalkerrbf 06:13, 25 August 2008 (EDT)
- Well, I think it's alright to upload the S3 versions of the profile picture since S3 is only less than a month away. Chrisyu357 06:36, 25 August 2008 (EDT)
- Yes but I would upload them as new photos as on pages like the tracker map the pictures need to be the ones on there, and by replacing them you are deleting the old ones.--Skywalkerrbf 06:51, 25 August 2008 (EDT)
- Yes, you're right. Chrisyu357 06:58, 25 August 2008 (EDT)
- No, actually, Pyramidhead did exactly as we should do. New versions of photos should be uploaded over the old ones. Uploading a whole new photo means a bunch of edits need to be made so that the new version is put into use; uploading over the old version means that the new version is automatically in use. Uploading a whole new photo also means that eventually there will be an image that is unused, which is just a pain to have to go and delete them all; uploading over the old version ensures that both the old and the new versions are preserved (as can be seen in Nathan's old photo and new photo, for example). All this is explained on the help page. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:44, 25 August 2008 (EDT)
- Sorry, my bad. we do still need the old photots on the assignment tracker map page though. --Skywalkerrbf 12:55, 25 August 2008 (EDT)

New Spoilers
Hey, great new pics and articles! Thanks so much for updating the spoilers! :) Don't forget that when adding a picture, you should have a fair use statement and at least one category. Something like this would work:
{{unairedspoiler}}
[[Eric Doyle]]
{{image-promotional|portrait=t}}
from [[NBC]]
Thanks--keep up the good work! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:22, 17 September 2008 (EDT)

What did you change on Image:Unaired episode.jpg? It looks like you moved it over slightly, but I didn't see what was wrong with it in the first place. If it's better quality, I can't tell. Am I missing something? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:06, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
