Many characters on Heroes love waffles, the delicious breakfast treat often served at diners.

Claire's mother, Sandra Bennet, calls Claire and Lyle to breakfast, telling them that she has made waffles.
After being forcibly evicted from the casino, Ando and Hiro find themselves just outside the Fly By Night Diner. Upon entering the diner and being seated, Hiro wonders aloud whether it serves waffles.
At the Burnt Toast Diner, Ando whines about the lack of dining options on the menu: "No wonder everyone in America is so fat. All there is to eat is waffles and french fries."
Kaito tells Hiro that he has gorged himself on waffles. Hiro tells his father that he should try them, they're delicious. His father plainly responds that no, he would not like waffles.
