He was born in Colorado, but was taken and raised in New York City by an Aunt, Simone Deveraux. He met Peter Petrelli while he was dating Simone. After Simone was killed by Isaac Mendez, Will discovered his own powers. Frightened, he fled to The Company, where Bob Bishop called him One of the greatest threats we have ever faced". Will was placed in Level 5 at age 7. He broke out at age 13, already a hardened boy. Fleeing to Pinehearst, Will was employed as a team leader. He met Kayla Marshal while hunting for a theorized Reality Bender. They worked eith Pinehearst for a year more, and then Arthur Petrelli stole Will's ability, fearing a conflict with Peter.
Will believed a sample of the formula would restore his powers, but instead they gave him an incredible new ability, which raised questions as to the genetic factor of his original power.
Will is the main character in Heroes Generations.
