Energy manipulation is the ability to absorb all kinds of energy, manipulate it and release it in any form. The special counter in this house is currently at 8, yo.
Basics
Energy manipulation gives the beholder of the ability capabilities of absorbing any form of energy, converting it into another form and releasing it at will. There is no known limit in the time for holding the absorbed energy or a maximum amount for it. The energy absorbing is generally passive, put active energy absorbing can be used to load up energy reserves quickly. The releasable energy also includes the energy resources a human body has, therefore, if too much energy is released, the post-human is seriously weakened and may die. This limit is recognized by an advanced user.
Energy usage
The energy absorption may be active or passive, from multiple sources at the same time or from a single selected source. Energy release is almost always active.
Gravitational energy and passive healing
The most common type of energy that can be absorbed with this ability is gravitational energy. This form of energy is created by the mass of the Earth, which attracts other objects within the reach of its gravitational field and is absorbed with the whole body at once. It also grants the post-human with this ability a constant stream of energy, allowing him/her to immediately heal at a faster rate than normal in case of injuries. This is possible as long as there is no serious brain damage that renders the ability unavailable, but if the brain would be healed to a workable condition, the combination of gravitational energy and the genetic code of this ability will be enough to fully heal the post-human. The ability of accelerated healing is not the same as rapid cell regeneration, but is rather instictively instructing the body to heal, though the length of time that the body takes to heal is most likely shortened in synchronisation with rise of the level of skill over the ability.
Heat and light
Another common source of energy is the Sun, but any sun works, along with all possible forms of artificial light. It is only possible to absorb this 'light' energy with the bare skin, having a fun day at the beach is a optimal way of doing so, from a social point of view. This also grants exposure to another form of energy provided by the Sun. That form is heat, but the heat-absorption is in no way limited to only the heat of the Sun. From lightbulbs to live, open fire, both light and heat energy can be absorbed. In the case of a very vigorous absorption of heat, the subject will significantly drop in temperature, following a quick cold snap, rendering the subject very cool. A similar cold absorption can be achieved on objects that already have a significant temperature in degrees minus.
Travelling to time
Theory goes that this temperature manipulation is a direct result of changing the speed of (sub)atomic particles by supercharging them (making heat or later, flames) or causing them to slow the fuck down (creating cold and ice). This slowing down has been known to create spots of frozen time, if the energy released through the power is at very high concentrations. The first time this (trying to not just slow the particles down, but to halt them mid-air) was tested, the test subject exhibited great physical pressure and possibly due to that, lighting-like, in appearance and forming, several icicles protruded from the post-humans' body, but the test was succesful, creating a large area of frozen time. The exact edges of this area remained unknown, but at its border time was certainly not flowing 1 second per second, but not still either. This apparent slow-motion did not affect the subjects within the slow-time field, but the receding border was visible once the subjects regained real-time presence. The area did not move with the post-human when in motion, but the post-human was able to move. Touching items slowly, but faster than normal, brought them back from slow-time. Attempts at trying to move backwards through time or accelerate the normal rate at which time passes have so far been unsuccesful. The only form of time-acceleration available is freezing someone in time and letting them slowly come back to normal time. The optimal way is to create a slow-time zone, as freezing only a subjects body in time caused several injuries to the brain and shortcomings in latter ability use.
