Welcome to Heroes Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you are new to Heroes, you might want to start at the New User Portal.
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style.
- If you're ready to get started, Template:Todo lists some ways you can help out.
- Of course, if you have your own idea for a new article, that's great, too.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the Summary field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add --~~~~ or click the signature button.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to the end of your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for an administrator.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
Once again, welcome to Heroes Wiki!
Fan pages
Hi, Broxi. Fan pages need to be created as a subpage of your user page. For example, you'd create an article titled "User:Broxi391/SomePageName". Thanks! :) (Admin 12:30, 16 December 2008 (EST))
- Even more specifically, Broxi, you probably want to make User:Broxi391/Fan Heroes. Click that link and create from there. --Ricard Desi 12:39, 16 December 2008 (EST)
- Broxi, if you want a Fan Heroes article, click the link Ricard placed above and paste the content in there. That will put it in the right place as a subpage of your user page. Also don't add it to any of the portals. It's a personal fan creation, not a global one. (Admin 11:53, 17 December 2008 (EST))
- Post any questions here and I'll read them. All fan creations start as user subpages. Some very specific ones are picked and moved into the main namespace due to their popularity and prevalence. They need to be very popular phenomena and not just a set of one person's fan creations in order to end up being nominated for inclusion. (Admin 12:51, 17 December 2008 (EST))
- The Ben Weir article would have to be created as User:Broxi391/Ben Weir since it's a fan creation. Creating it in the main namespace as you have in the past will only get it deleted. (Admin 12:12, 17 December 2008 (EST))
Warning
- If you recreate the "Fan Heroes" article within the main namespace again, you will be blocked. (Admin 12:34, 16 December 2008 (EST))
