New abilities
So, we were treated to a whole bunch of new abilities in this issue, with the return of what appears to be wall crawling and electric manipulation. We also got Nightcrawler from X-Men for some reason. The only times the new evos demonstrated their abilities in this issue are in the two screenshots above. The question is, what shall we call these new abilities? None of these evos except Fiona (left image, center) are ever named. Shall we go by something like "Purple-shirted refugee's ability", for example? -Kon (talk) 01:22, 10 December 2015 (EST)
- In the left picture the chick wearing the purple tank top her ability almost looks like weather manipulation BC if you look closely where her hands are looks like dark grey storm clouds and rain falling from it. Also the guy in that same picture that looks like night crawler. He looks more reptilian in a way BC it looks like he has scales on him Shelby9291 (talk) 05:38, 10 December 2015 (EST)
- For the character I think is being mentioned as looking similar to Nightcrawler (lower left), I think this is a general form of animal mimicry... I think most of the non-human appearance traits could be from some variety of horned lizard, but the character's tail looks to me to be very mouse-like (long, tubular, and with minimal to no hair. I don't know of any mice having horns that look similar in shape to me of that of a Texas Longhorn and having what appear to me to be small plate-like spikes all over its back, but I guess one could exist.
- I think electric manipulation for the girl in the light-blue t-shirt (mid-left) is apparent from the lightning/electricity emanating from her hands, and wall crawling for the character who is hanging upside down (top left) from the ceiling.
- The character in the center with the dark blue t-shirt looks to me to like she is manipulating the wind to stay in the air as her t-shirt and her hair are both raised/elevated--not sure if she can manipulate/control other weather. I think her hair being raised could be from electric manipulation (hair raising is a common effect displayed with a Van de Graaff generator) but the t-shirt being raised I think points to flight via the wind (and not levitation, electric manipulation, or telekinesis alone).
- The character mid-right with the purple tank top looks to me like her hands and right arm are in the process of becoming smoke or generating it... only the top half of one hand (the hand to the viewer's right) is visible to me as being tangible. For the other hand (the hand to the viewer's left), I can see what could be the tips of her fingers/thumb as tiny clouds of smoke, or just as easily it could just be more generated smoke.
- The rain Shelby pointed out looks to me like it doesn't actually exist... and that what looks like rain is just the wall appearing through the purple tank top girl highlighted by the light emanating from the eyes of the lower-right older-looking woman. I think this effect is likely due to x-rays projected from the lower-right woman's eyes (the woman with the cane).
- For the second the two images (the one near the van), I'm not sure they are all the same people:
- There is a blurred image of a person (I think this is the speedster others were referring to) just right of the person with the green aura. This person is wearing a green shirt and black pants. I can't tell for sure the person's gender.
- There is also a girl in a pink tank top, which may or may not be the same character as the one with the purple tank top in the first image. The character in this second image looks to me to have pink blobs all around her that I think are falling to the ground to cause the localized pink splashing effect. If the blobs are rain, that could be weather control as Shelby pointed out. Perhaps her ability is to cause blood rain and she can't turn it off right away.--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:32, 10 December 2015 (EST)
