This is getting ridiculous. The images, beside swiss-cheesing the text and distorting blurbs, look horrible at different dimensions. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:10, 15 February 2007 (EST)

What power did Sylar use to escape from Parkman in this episode?--Anchovyman 00:24, 15 May 2007 (EDT)

He probably stopped the bullets telekinetically and only pretended to be shot in order to divert Matt's attention. Once Matt wasn't paying attention, he did his quick float away move.--Tim Thomason 00:35, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
Yeah, from what we've seen and from hints revealed by the writers in interviews, Sylar stops bullets using telekinesis with the effectiveness depending on how much time he has to prepare. When he was shot by Matt he didn't have much time to prepare so stopping the bullets in time knocked him backwards like when Mr. Bennet shot him. To get away he also supposedly used telekinesis which he's used before to carry himself upwards long distances. (Admin 00:42, 15 May 2007 (EDT))

Not Sylar, but "Worse-than-Boogeyman"?

After having watched this episode a second time I find myself wondering if it is in fact Sylar who has come to abduct Molly? It seems to me that it is more likely the unseen "Worse than the boogeyman"-character.

Reasons:

The man uses both telekinesis and probably som sort of regeneration (when shot).
He then disappears instantly
He does not kill Molly by slicing her head open, instead he tries to drag her away.
Why would Sylar want her alive?

And the biggest reason:

Molly utters the words: "How did he find me?"

In "How to Stop an Exploding Man" Molly explain that the "Worse Than the Boogeyman"-character can find her if she tries to locate him. When she was held at the FBI-safehouse in "One Giant Leap" could have been the first time she tried to locate the "Worse than the boogeyman"-character.

What do you think? Daveihaku

  • He didn't use regeneration. He probably used telekinesis and may have worn a bullet proof vest to ease the impact of the bullets. Telekinesis is Sylar's ability, so I don't see where you're going with that. The writers wanted Molly to live, so they made the process just a little bit slower. You can't kill off a little kid, can you? Sylar probably followed Molly, like he hung around after he killed "David" in Turning Point. Sylar found Zane Taylor and his home very randomly, but there is an explanation behind it. The biggest clue is that he wore a baseball cap like Sylar. In conclusion, I don't buy it.--Ice Vision 12:44, 28 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Good theory, but not quite right. Joe Pokaski and Aron Coleite said confirmed in a CBR Q&A that it was Sylar who went after Molly at FBI Headquarters. I don't have the link but can dig it up for you if you want. Somebody mentioned Sylar chasing Molly at the FBI building and the writers said he had insight. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:04, 28 May 2007 (EDT)

Actually I'm pretty sure that the guy that tries kidnapping her is future Peter. Why would I think this? Let me list the reasons: 1. He uses several powers sylar hasn't ever displayed including Healing, teleportation, and forcing that cop to aim at her own head. 2. We don't get a good look at the person but it is not Matt's dad, he is too young. 3. He doesn't telepathically move Molly away as Sylar would. he also doesn't cut into her head. 4. He runs away rather than killing Matt. Peter probably doesn't want Arther to acquire the ability to track people down this way in the future. This is A possible outcome if Molly is adopted By Matt and Daphne --Rjrawlings 02:11, 19 November 2008 (EST)

I don't want to sound condescending, but I probably will: more than a year has passed, and this has been argued to death, Sylar can use TK for a multitude of things, including deaden the impact of bullets, he didn't teleport and he used TK to force Audrey to point the gun to her own head, Maury probably didn't even exist as a plan at this point, Sylar could want to take Molly's power in place where he can do it without interruptions, he had no reason to kill Matt or didn't see a benefit in it, Arthur was still probably dead in the script at that point too. You're just seeing foreshadowing where there isn't. And as Ryan showed, it was confirmed it was Sylar. Intuitive Empath 05:40, 19 November 2008 (EST)

I Think it was Peter from the future because......

In episode "I Am Become Death" of Season 3, the Exposed Future Molly is told that needs to find the present Peter, because the future Peter had already been shot down by Claire. But I think Claire may have forgot of his Rapid Cell Regeneration ability, and healed, and went back in time using his Space-Time Manipulation to try to kidnap present Molly so that she couldn't find Peter later on.

Sylar wasn't the one who cleared his apartment.

It couldn't have been Sylar to have cleaned his apartment out because he was just in LA murdering the Walkers, all across USA, so it must have beent the company as they had cameras in there. Remember the episode villains, there was no proof of the removal of the cameras so, with Mohinder's appearance, they would have cleared the apartment to stop police investigating. I wonder where they put all of Sylar's stuff? --Mc hammark 13:38, 11 May 2009 (EDT)
