Name
I know that "Agent 1" is what this character officially has been called, but I'm not sure about us using the name; it's far too general. Plus - we have been known to change names to be more specific before. I'm thinking First agent (Echo's home), with Agent 2 becoming Second agent (Echo's home). If anyone can come up with shorter names, no one is happier than me though :) But, most important: Agent 1 is really too general. Pierre 10:21, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Heh. We get all sorts of names from the credits. I think we should keep these since they are official. However, I wouldn't mind a redirect from the names you've suggested.--MiamiVolts (talk) 10:32, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- I'd rather we redirected Agent 1 to First agent (Echo's home), there are no consensus on the matter, but most names of article dealing with non-specific named characters have been changed in order to match our standards. Unless there are some indications that Agent 1 is an actual title, I can't see why this would go for this character as well...?Pierre 14:28, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- NBC calls the character "Agent 1" both in the credits and in the character reference. If someone comes here looking for an article about the character, I think they'll be looking for "Agent 1".--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:53, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- That's what the redirection is for :) On the other hand - if someone who havn't seen the webisodes enters the article, the name will most certainly confuse her/him. "Agent 1" sounds like a title, as if he is the most prior agent.
- Once again - if the policy was to name the character articles after their credit names - I would definitely agree with you. However since the current policy is to modify the names Heroes Wiki mode, I don't see any reason why this article should be an exception...? Pierre 15:00, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- I thought the policy was to use the credits, when available... see Talk:Jumpsuit#Rename to Jumpsuit?? for a similar discussion. We use our format when the credits don't specifically name the character, but this is not such a case. If the credits said: Other agents played by James Ryen and so-and-so, like is sometimes done, then we would have freedom to name in our format. I don't see that freedom here.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:16, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Oh - nice link - havn't seen that one! I was going by the actual article names. After a random (and by no means complete) look through the characters article there are several names that have been changed from their original credit:
- Chandra's super
- Convenience store robber
- Corinthian security guard
- Diamond merchant
- Emergency room doctor
- Airport security agent
- Burnt Toast Diner waitress
- Gun seller
- Heidi's surgeon
- Highway 12 patrolman
- Hotspur employee
- Jackie's friend
- Lady with a purse
- Linderman's curator
- ...and so on... so much for that policy, I guess :) Pierre 15:32, 29 July 2008 (EDT)

Dead
Shouldn't we list this guy as dead (and Agent 2)? In the Going Postal graphic novel, Echo says that "they surrounded me in my home. I had no choice but to fight back. I survived the falling debris by pure luck. They didn't." --Radicell 08:53, 10 January 2009 (EST)
