Ability Mislabeled?

  • Tar is sticky, heavy stuff. I think Howie is creating oil, which is slippery. I would suggest oil emission. --Jrrenola 07:25, 17 March 2009 (EDT)

Name change

Please see Talk:Howie Kaplan (crew) for a discussion on the name change. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:01, 4 December 2009 (EST)

Three Howie Kaplans

Howie Kaplan's name was mentioned in The Wall. Sylar (remembering Nathan's memories) tells Peter that Howie Kaplan beat him in the 50-yard dash when they were younger. I'm not sure that's a reference to Howie Kaplan the oil producer, but to Howie Kaplan the crew member. There was nothing in the reference, other than the name, to suggest that it was the guy from the graphic novels. And since Adam Armus and Kay Foster were namechecking their administrative assistant, it seems a far stretch to say that the oil guy knew Peter when they were younger. That's not a connection I think we're supposed to be making. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:30, 2 February 2010 (EST)

  • Is there anyone we can ask for clarification? As far as I know, this is the first instance of two people ("Slick" and the kid) in the Heroes universe with the same name. --Ricard Desi (t,c) 14:00, 2 February 2010 (EST)
    • Yes, it would be, as far as I know. I can as Adam Armus and Kay Foster. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:03, 2 February 2010 (EST)
      • If you could ask them that would be great. I wouldn't see it as a strecht that Slick and Peter went to school together. Characters can have one-shot interactions like when Matt breifly met Eden. --Piemanmoo 21:13, 2 February 2010 (EST)
        • Done. Adam is usually pretty good about getting back to me. As soon as he does, I'll post. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:34, 2 February 2010 (EST)
          • Impressive. Here's part of the response: "All I can say is -- this is Heroes. Every mention and Easter egg has been thought out well in advance." Very cool. I underestimated, and I stand corrected. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 07:55, 3 February 2010 (EST)
