Other Character's Arc

This appears to be a combined list of Sylar's victims and Jessica's victims. Inneressin'. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:15, 12 January 2007 (EST)

Ryan, I strongly disagree with the edit you just did where you removed the "other character's arc" part. I think you should read up on what the purpose of the "Women in the Refrigerator"-list was and then get back to me if you still feel your edit was relevant. Cuardin 22:13, 12 January 2007 (EST)

I'm sorry I upset you with my edit, that wasn't my intention. I was going off the discussion (here) that though people are part of others' story arcs, it would be speculative to say the purpose a particular character serves. (True, Charlie augmented Hiro's story, but Charlie is still her own character). I still feel my edit is very relevant. The purpose of the list that Gail Simone created is to be just that: a list. She has no theorizing, editorializing, speculating, or organizing (except maybe alphabetical & chronological) on her list. I think this list is sort of an addendum to hers, and should follow suit. That said, if you want to change it back, please do. I don't think it's the most accurate thing to say that men were killed to serve another's story arc (especially since it's not in Simone's list, and it's not in Women in Refrigerators), but if you feel that strongly about it, go ahead an change it. :) - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:29, 12 January 2007 (EST)
I am not upset, but thank you for your concern. I chose to respond in the Talk: Women in Refrigerators page instead, as the topic seems to belong there. Cuardin 09:56, 14 January 2007 (EST)

Move Discussion

(Anyone mind if we merge this chat area with Talk: Women in Refrigerators and make this a redirect? --Orne 22:35, 12 January 2007 (EST) )

I think in general it wouldn't be a good idea to redirect one Talk page to another. What would sound reasonable is a link at the top of the discussion to Talk: Women in Refrigerators indicating that discussions on this general "in refrigerator" topic might also be found there. Agree, there are plenty of examples where a discussion is held on the "wrong" page, because either somebody started it there, or because an old discussion morphs into a new tangent. I think the discussions on this page, though, may reference Women in Refrigerators, but it's mostly about Men in Refrigerators. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:01, 13 January 2007 (EST)

Merge with WIR?

  • Since this is really just for comparison to Women in Refrigerators, and since "Men in Refrigerators" isn't really an existing phenomenon outside this wiki, should this be merged as a new section in WIR? It just looks a little odd by itself, since it's not referring to anything but our own article.--Hardvice (talk) 01:40, 17 January 2007 (EST)
  • Abso-freakin'-lutely. The content of the article has merit, but stands better on the WIR page. It is more visible, more easily compared, and more user-friendly. Merge 'em! - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:52, 17 January 2007 (EST)
  • Sure, have at it. :D -- Cuardin 01:58, 17 January 2007 (EST)
