Talk:Portal:iStory Locations

Just as we mix locations and places from different seasons of the episodes, or different chapters (volumes, even!) of graphic novels, or different Heroes Evolutions media, I think we can mix the locations from iStory. In other words, Iraq doesn't have to be all by its lonesome. We can incorporate it with the rest of the iStory Locations. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:47, 16 January 2009 (EST)

  • Makes sense. Undid the split. Good spot.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:50, 16 January 2009 (EST)

Splitting Locations from Places

In Portal:Locations, Portal:Graphic Novel Locations, Portal:Places, and Portal:Graphic Novel Places, "Locations" are cities and countries and such, while "Places" are specific sites. This portal (Portal:iStory Locations) includes both, and should be split. The location articles (Chadspear, England, Ghanaf, Iraq, Iran, and Lyneboro, CT) should be kept (there's four, so it's enough for a portal), while the rest should be split to "Portal:iStory Places". It's quite a bit of work, so I figured I'd bring it up here first. --Radicell 07:17, 22 February 2010 (EST)

  • Yeah, that's fine. As long as we have enough articles to populate both portals, a split is a good idea. But you're right, it's a lot of work. I probably won't be able to get to it until later in the week... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:04, 22 February 2010 (EST)
    • My two cents after you've done all that work might not e appreciated...but a much easier way to have taken care of the split would have been to leave the iStoryLocation template on the bottom of all the places, and just changed the four world locations to use a template called something like iStoryWorldLocation. :) Thanks for all your work on that, Radicell! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:56, 23 February 2010 (EST)
      • Argh. Oh well, I'll keep that in mind next time. :) --Radicell 02:04, 24 February 2010 (EST)
