  • Since we already have a Nielsen Ratings article, I think this can move to the main namespace anytime you want. (Admin 17:29, 16 October 2008 (EDT))
    • Ok, all moved and redirects have been marked for afd.--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:35, 16 October 2008 (EDT)

Where's the 10/22 TAMi?

I can't find it. Anyone know what's up? Wasn't this supposed to be a weekly release?--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:03, 22 October 2008 (EDT)

  • Give it a day or two, and then we can ask Joe Tolerico if needed. By the way, Entertainment Weekly had some very interesting statistics about total viewership of Heroes. I don't have the article in front of me, but I think they were saying that with DVR viewings, Heroes is the number two or three show watched on television, with something like 26 million viewers last week. My numbers might be off, but it was high! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:46, 22 October 2008 (EDT)
    • I don't know what the ranking was, but by adding the +7 to the DVR+Live ratings, the ratings for the S3 premiere went up by about 20%.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:01, 22 October 2008 (EDT)
    • Ok, it's been a couple days.--MiamiVolts (talk) 13:32, 24 October 2008 (EDT)
      • I'm trying to find out for you. I don't know if our NBC contacts know when it will be released or whether it's part of a different division, but if I get an answer I'll let you know. (Admin 13:45, 24 October 2008 (EDT))
        • Ok, thanks. --MiamiVolts (talk) 15:04, 24 October 2008 (EDT)
        • The new TAMi is now up, so I guess it could be coincidence, Admin, but I'd like to think that either you contacted the right people and/or the right people were reading this discussion. Regardless, thanks again for checking on it. :) But in this week's TAMi, the categories for VOD, Mobile and Downloads have been merged... I'm not sure why this was done (I couldn't find any new press release today about the changes to TAMi). Anyways, I guess it's okay, but I liked being able to see the totals separately, and if one week there was trouble getting the data for one figure, it could just be omitted that week and the TAMi could still be published on time. I'm guessing the new format is probably what caused the delay.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:30, 24 October 2008 (EDT)

12/16/08 TAMi?

Looks like TAMi's going to be at least a day later than normal this week. It hasn't been released yet, so it'll likely not be 12/16 on the date. I'll check on it at the end of the day today (12/17).--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:44, 17 December 2008 (EST)

  • It's posted now, Heroes still going strong in TAMi. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:47, 17 December 2008 (EST)
    • Looks like they are coming a day later now. The 12/23 TAMi isn't out yet. The Nielsen Ratings went up a bit for the Volume 3 finale; looking forward to seeing the numbers this week.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:45, 24 December 2008 (EST)

12/30/08 TAMi?

Just noting here that TAMi's late again this week. I realize there was a holiday yesterday, so perhaps it will get released later today.--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:34, 2 January 2009 (EST)

  • The 12/30 TAMi never came, but the one for this week did. Since there were no new episodes, no episodes got eliminated so I guess we didn't miss much. Heroes is still doing quite well in TAMi, having the best TAMi season total over all of NBC's other listed shows.--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:06, 8 January 2009 (EST)

2/24/09 TAMi?

It's Friday, and the TAMi has been coming out on Tuesdays the past weeks. I'm not sure why, but it hasn't been posted this week.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:09, 27 February 2009 (EST)

3/24/09 TAMi bug

The 3/24/09 TAMi has a big error in it. It shows the television viewership total for the 3/2/09 episode (Exposed) as 11,846. I think they meant to type 11,846,000 but the trailing zeros got left off. I reported the bug using the nbcumv.com contact support form, and will be updating the data here assuming that is what was meant. I hope the message I sent gets through.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:21, 29 March 2009 (EDT)

  • Looks like they fixed it in the 3/31/09 release.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:48, 1 April 2009 (EDT)

4/21/09 TAMi bug

In the current TAMi, published 4/21/09, the totals for the VOD/Mobile/Downloads category are several thousand less than the week prior for episodes 319, 320, and 321. That is impossible since the data covers a larger timespan, so the total should be higher, or no less than the same amount it was the week before. It's not as big a deal as the 12 million difference last month, but it's still a bug. I just reported it using the nbcumv.com contact form, and will be updating the data here assuming they meant to add the difference instead of subtract it.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:39, 22 April 2009 (EDT)

6/9/09 TAMi?

The 6/9/09 TAMi hasn't been released yet, so I'm guessing they will skip last week. I think they will continue it through the summer, though, so we can see how new shows The Listener and Merlin stack up. I guess we will see. I'm liking The Listener so far, and am looking forward to Merlin.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:36, 14 June 2009 (EDT)

  • Cool. TAMi was posted again on 6/23/09. No Heroes listed but The Listener is listed. I guess TAMi may continue during the summer after all. Hopefully that's good news on its continued use. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:57, 24 June 2009 (EDT)
    • Some related news: I've known already that Merlin has been renewed by the BBC, so I guess it will be back again next summer. I'm enjoying it so far. The Listener, a Canadian import is being pulled by NBC due to low ratings and replaced with Law & Order repeats. It's still going to air on CTV, where ratings are better, and NBC will stream the remaining episodes in August on NBC.com. I look forward to watching them.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:15, 21 July 2009 (EDT)

S4 TAMi's

There was a TAMi published for S4 on 9/29/09, but sometime this past week, the Universal Media Village site has been redone in Flash and I'm not finding the spotlight section where TAMi normally goes. I'm going to send in a comment/inquiry, though. Maybe I'll get a response.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:04, 9 October 2009 (EDT)

  • Thanks, Miami. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:37, 9 October 2009 (EDT)
    • I'm still trying to find out about this. No reply so far to my inquiry. I'm going to try a different channel. On a potentially related note, last month NBC began participating in a new venture called CIMM (the Coalition for Innovative Media Measurement), along with a number of the other networks. There's a 9/10/2009 press release on NBCUMV that talks about it. Unfortunately, I cannot link to the release cause of the new flash/javascript design of the site so you'll have to read a re-post I did on 9th Wonders about it. There's also a more recent article about it on Clickz. From what I understand about CIMM, the organization isn't planned to be a replacement or competitor to the Nielsen ratings, but it will be making publicly available the results/implementation of new systems they develop so Nielsen and others (Omniture, Comscore, etc.) can adopt them if they wish.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:37, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
    • Yesterday, someone at NBC Universal replied to my inquiry by e-mail and explained to me where the Spotlight section is now and where the TAMi should be. If you go to "Network/Programs" and then to "NBC Entertainment", there is a big flash window that displays ads for three NBC shows on its first page. The Spotlight section is on the second page of that window. Currently, the second page has another two ads for NBC shows and an ad for the "Weekly TAMi posted on October 7, 2009". However, when I click to download the TAMi, I'm taken to a non-existent page. I've replied about this, and will post here what I find out.--MiamiVolts (talk) 12:24, 16 October 2009 (EDT)
      • Ok, I've been forwarded the file and my contact is going to fix the broken link on the new site. I'll be adding the Oct 7th TAMi results here shortly! :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:21, 16 October 2009 (EDT)
      • I added the Oct 7th and 27th TAMi results that my contact forwarded to me. The link at NBCUMV is still broken, but it's being worked on.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:29, 29 October 2009 (EDT)
  • In case anyone is wondering where this week's results came from, the link for the Nov. 3rd TAMi works properly, but is labeled as October 27th. I guess they updated only the link, not the label.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:37, 5 November 2009 (EST)
  • Looks like a Dec 22 TAMi isn't going to be released due to the holidays. I'll check for the Dec 29 TAMi next week.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:17, 26 December 2009 (EST)

S3 vs. S4 analysis

Since someone on 9th wonders asked me, I posted there some analysis on how Heroes doing for the first five episodes compared to last year per the TAMi ratings.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:00, 30 October 2009 (EDT)
