Talk:The Sylar tape

From Heroes Wiki

The quote is actually from the answering machine tape, not the tape Mohinder found. Although Mohinder has listened to it, we haven't heard it yet.--Hardvice (talk) 03:11, 29 November 2006 (EST)

  • Man, you're thorough! ... Should we make one page for the tape (which I think has a Sylar/Chandra interview, unless I'm making that up?) and another for the answering machine conversation? Or do you want to just leave it as is? Ryangibsonstewart 03:19, 29 November 2006 (EST)

The Sylar Tape as Research?

I noticed The Sylar tape was removed from research. It seems to me that if the tape was found in Suresh's apartment and its contents at least say that Suresh believed Sylar was "Patient Zero", then this would be part of research. (In the end, I don't think we're ever going to find out any more about the tape - it was just a device for the writers to give us the name "Sylar", so it might be a moot point.) - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:38, 22 December 2006 (EST)

  • My justification was that we don't really know what's on the tape. It could be a mix tape he gave Chandra for all we know. My real reason, of course, is that it meant adding another row to Portal:Research. :)--Hardvice (talk) 14:00, 22 December 2006 (EST)
    • That's cool. Like I said, doesn't really matter to me. (However, I'm sure some more research is going to come out - we might have to add the tape in then.) Plus, I want to know what was on that mix tape - "Brain Stew" by Green Day? - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:22, 24 December 2006 (EST)

Unaired Pilot

So ... what are we going to do about information from the unaired pilot in existing articles? It's all well and good in the character histories of unaired-only characters like Amid Halebi, but I don't know whether it really belongs in the history or in the notes of existing articles. Technically, it never really happened in the show's continuity, so I'm inclined towards confining it to the notes. In the very least, though, if it stays in the history it needs to be listed chronologically and be edited for perspective.--Hardvice (talk) 12:38, 6 September 2007 (EDT)

  • There was a discussion about deleted scenes which I think somewhat applies. I very much agree, I think any information from any unaired scenes should be generally confined to notes. There are exceptions, which I guess we'd take on a case-by-case situation, but I agree that we should not make a habit of starting a new heading for unaired pilot unless the character himself is from an unaired scene. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:23, 6 September 2007 (EDT)
