Questioning Inclusion

I kinda question the inclusion of Bennet and Claire....(or anyone that is cited only for their Kirby Plaza scene). Those appearances are specific to HTSAEM, not this episode. Claire and HRG weren't in this episode, and reshowing them hugging while Nathan takes off and Peter explodes over Kirby Plaza, shouldn't merit inclusion in the Character Appearance for this epi. This is completely different from the Season-2 pre-showing of 1671 at the end of 1x23... I just don't think they belong cited for this show. They weren't in it. Similarly, Sylar wasn't in the show either....a quick face-shot of him riding in the car with the twins from last-week shouldn't merit a character appearance. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 11/13/2007 18:37 (EST)

  • Hayden, Jack and Zach were all credited for the episode, though (so was Sendhil but that was for the monologue) ... (and I'm pretty sure Zach's appearance isn't archive footage) if they are credited, that means they got paid ... Now, NBC wouldn't pay them for nothing right ? I'd say we should include them. (I personally believe this is different from 2x01's montage of random scenes in random chronological order and / or the Previously on Heroes segments ... Yes, it's footage we've already seen, but it's within the show, and no matter how small a part is, if the actor is credited I believe they shoud be included (see : April and Template:AppearancesFourMonthsLater ) ... --LeoChris 13:25, 17 November 2007 (EST)
    • Right. We don't include "Previously On" appearances, but these were absolutely valid appearances. The explosion occurred, and it cut to Claire and Noah's reactions. It's even in the storyboard. Even if it's archival footage, or footage that's not new, it doesn't discount their appearances. I mean, the entire scene with Mohinder discovering Sylar's apartment in One Giant Leap is recycled from the pilot, but it's still part of the new episode.

As for Sylar, why wouldn't that count? A quick face shot is still an appearance. We have entire pages for characters who have appeared for less time onscreen and in less visible appearances. Besides, the added pseudosexual pass he makes at Maya is certainly deserving of a note. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:48, 17 November 2007 (EST)

    • I agree. As for distinguishing these from the opening "flash-forward" in 2x01, you're right: those scenes are not in context. They're not really a part of the episode in question; they don't occur until later episodes. The scenes with Hayden, Zach, and Jack (wasn't that a sitcom once upon a time?) were part of the story of this episode.--Hardvice (talk) 15:19, 17 November 2007 (EST)
    • I disgree. Hayden, Jack and Zach were not credited for this episode which is why i believe they should not be listed as a character appearance Heshman 08:47, 18 November 2007 (EST)
      • Not everybody who appears is always credited. But Hayden, Jack, and Zach definitely appeared in the episode. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:50, 18 November 2007 (EST)
