Template talk:Appearancesect
This is a great template -- well done. It makes the template the lighter blue color reserved for external links of course, but that's a very very minor issue, far outweighed by the workable section headings. Bravo! — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:54, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
- However, I'm noticing that the "Character Appearances" section is not showing up on the TOC now. That little trick seems to be out of my sphere of knowledge. Any way this can be done? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:02, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
- Not easily. I'm working on it, but it's going to require some voodoo.--Hardvice (talk) 16:07, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
- Okay, now it works. It requires a combination of an invisible section heading and a span ID. The easiest way to get it there is to substitute Template:appearanceep when adding the appearance link to the episode. It will format everything properly.--Hardvice (talk) 16:28, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
- Now that is some pretty great voodoo. I tell you, I love sitting back, watching the changes you make to the templates, and learning how all the code works. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:32, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
Edit by Name
At one point in the creation of this all the edit links on one of the episode pages were changed to edit by the section title instead of "edit§ion=1", how was that done? -Lөvөl 16:09, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
- I'm not following you. The edit link for the appearance section was changed, but the other sections are still just normal section headings.--Hardvice (talk) 16:13, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
Spacing
Just ported the code fix to allow spaces in template names. Now if we have a new title with multiple words, we can use a multiword name. For example with episode The Line, we can name the template, Template:AppearancesThe Line.--MiamiVolts (talk) 13:53, 23 October 2007 (EDT)
