The Marked?

  • Why is The Marked on this template? Is it supposed to be The Mark instead? (Admin 02:37, 2 March 2007 (EST))
    • The Marked are a group of Heroes360 fans, so they're Heroes360-related.--Hardvice (talk) 02:45, 2 March 2007 (EST)
      • Yeah, but it's a name one group of fans came up with for themselves and isn't an official term, so I don't think it should be linked to outside of the fan-creation section. My view is that fan-creations should be kept insulated from most of the content here. They've got a portal link on the main page which is good, I know people do use that link to find the fan-creations. Aside from that logical entry point I'm reluctant to link to fan-creations from other articles lest we risk problems like favoritism. It seems like a nice simple policy to keep them insulated to protect the integrity of the other articles. (Admin 02:52, 2 March 2007 (EST))
        • True dat. I was just pointing out the connection, and that it's not a typo.--Hardvice (talk) 06:14, 2 March 2007 (EST)

Brian

He's done more than Evolutions, does he still qualify? Therequiembellishere 17:24, 24 August 2008 (EDT)

He is either an Evolutions character or a GN character. However we decide to regard him, must go for Kelly Shoemaker and Walter as well. Personally, I definitely see them as Evolutions characters, that also have appeared in one GN, but is definitely up for debate. Pierre 17:31, 24 August 2008 (EDT)

Primal rage

Why is the Primal rage ability on the "Other" section of this template? While it is related to Evolutions, it's not really important enough on its own to be linked here. The iStory link and the links to the two "Operations" already cover that subject. It's also the only power on the template right now. --V2Blast 21:55, 3 December 2008 (EST)

  • Clairsentience also used to be here before it was used in an episode. Since the iStory is part of Heroes Evolutions, this is technically where the ability belongs.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:27, 3 December 2008 (EST)
    • Hana Gitelman was linked here for a very long time, but that doesn't mean it was right. Clairsentience was also included on Portal:Abilities since April 2008. Primal rage is there too. It should only be on one portal. Category:Abilities says that it's for all abilities that have appeared in episodes or Heroes Evolutions....which reminds me, I need to add webisodes, too. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:18, 3 December 2008 (EST)
      • Ah, Hardvice was the person who originally added clairsentience, not that that matters to you...--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:29, 3 December 2008 (EST)
        • I don't understand. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:09, 4 December 2008 (EST)
          • I was just noting that it was an administrator who had added clairsentience in the first place; it is indeed a moot point now (doesn't matter).--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:50, 4 December 2008 (EST)

Formatting

There's something funky going on with the formatting in this template. Specifically, the iStory volumes section in the Other section is white and looks really odd. The Other section really shouldn't be split in two. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:52, 15 January 2009 (EST)

  • Would it be better to move the iStory to a completely separate section, then?--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:02, 15 January 2009 (EST)
    • Probably. Either that, or just incorporate it into the Other section. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:30, 15 January 2009 (EST)
      • There's likely to be a few more articles from the new volume, so I'll try splitting it for now.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:35, 15 January 2009 (EST)
        • I split them to a separate section of this template for now. We could later move the iStory volumes, characters and locations to separate portals and templates. Looks like there may be enough of them now. What do you think?--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:58, 16 January 2009 (EST)
          • I like it in its own section, but I don't think it needs its own bar and portal system. I'm certainly not opposed, not in the least. But since you asked my opinion, I think the iStory stuff is still fine under the Evolutions umbrella. However, I'll go in a slightly different direction and say that we should (or could) probably split this template into five separate templates. Why not have one template for all the HE places, one for all the HE websites, one for all the characters, etc.? Just a thought... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:02, 16 January 2009 (EST)
            • Technically, the graphic novels are part of Heroes Evolutions too, yet we've broken them off at the top-most level in the portals. To be fair, I'd feel more comfortable breaking off the iStory too instead of leaving it intermeshed when we split this up. Or we could re-merge the graphic novel templates for locations and abilities when we break this up. It wouldn't be as easy, but I'm open to that possibility too.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:09, 16 January 2009 (EST)
              • Let's split it. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:47, 16 January 2009 (EST)
                • The split looks great. The portals work out well, and everything is actually better than I thought it would look. Nice job! I'm not a big fan of the layout of Portal:iStory Volumes, though. I'll leave a message on the talk page there. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:34, 16 January 2009 (EST)
                  • Well, that's half the split (I'm not sure of how to better layout the iStory Volumes portal... feel free to take a crack at it). Next up is splitting the iStory out of the template itself.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:40, 16 January 2009 (EST)
                  • Ok, the iStory is all split off now. Thoughts on splitting this template now too?--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:35, 17 January 2009 (EST)
                    • The splits look good. Yeah, we should probably go ahead and split this template...but that's a project for another day. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:43, 17 January 2009 (EST)
                      • Indeed. I'm just finishing up publicizing my work and then I'm headed off for the night as well.--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:48, 17 January 2009 (EST)
                        • I'm just getting back up with my booger-infested son. I wish I were off to bed! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:58, 17 January 2009 (EST)
                    • Ok, all split up now. I hope your son feels better. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 13:08, 18 January 2009 (EST)
