Because of the way the URLs work, you don't actually need variables for the PDF and interactive links. Just uses the issue number and hard-code the rest, and the template will be easier to update.--Hardvice (talk) 23:51, 28 April 2007 (EDT)

  • Good idea about using the issue #! But the bullet doesn't work (it wraps), so I'll change to seperate lines. Any clue why adding the header option is adding an unneeded row?--MiamiVolts 00:03, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
    • Ok, I got the extra whitespace to disappear, but now the date wraps. The date wasn't wrapping before...--MiamiVolts 00:13, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
      • Fixed the date with the nowrap tag, and restored your bullet too. :)--MiamiVolts 00:40, 29 April 2007 (EDT)

Moving image

So I wanted the blurbed image to move up to be next to the heading rather than below it, sort of like how the AOTW is set up. Unfortunately, the AOTW uses an infobox which automatically floats on the right, but a blurb doesn't. After that I'm lost. Is there anybody who knows how to move the image north, but not so north that it looks silly? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:24, 4 May 2007 (EDT)

  • I think it's fine as-is, especially for when the GN names get super-long (as they tend to do). But if you want to change it, it's really just a matter of moving the image part into a wiki table that's parallel to all the other text, instead of everything but header and title.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:31, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
    • I think it's okay as it is, too...but there's some white space above the image and below the text that's unnecessary. For long GN names don't we have another version we can use? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:48, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
      • It used to be multiversion, but the other versions were removed for simplicity from the Template. Anyways, do you mean the space below the horizontal rule and above the image? It's not a big space, but the reason for it is the standard table padding.--MiamiVolts (talk) 10:41, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
        • Right. It might not be a big space on your browser, but on mine it's pretty ... distracting. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:44, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
          • I added a padding option for the blurb template that you can test out. I don't notice any difference when testing it, but you might. Another thing I was thinking was that tables automatically space each row. I know in HTML, you can set the height attribute of individual td's but I know not how to do that using wiki text.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:40, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
