Are the quotes around e.g. "Minor Characters" going to break this? I was under the impression that if you included quotation marks in a logic test, it tested for the quotes as well. Most template calls don't use (or allow) quotes. Am I smoking crack?--Hardvice (talk) 17:00, 17 January 2007 (EST)

  • You are correct; it always tested False (even though the documentation states that double quotes forces a String comparison for Numeric parameters). I removed the quotes everywhere, and it works now. --Orne 17:12, 17 January 2007 (EST)


Inter-Set Links?

I have to say, I like this so much that now I'm wondering if we shouldn't use it to add interset links between the different character page sets (so that, for example, you can jump directly from Main Characters to Recurring Characters). The only problem would be that the Minor pages would have two navstrips -- one for interset links and for intraset links -- but I think it would still be pretty cool. That's funny because the first four Portal:Minor are unseen character and so don't have picture for the template, that's just too lol!   • No problem ... The problem was there was still a nonlinktext=<br>  left over from the previous update. Hey, one quick thing--if you see me working on the portals, you don't have to do the PortalCharNav update. I'm slow sometimes (crying kids always come first), but I'll get to it--that way we just avoid the edit conflict and doing double the work. Thanks. ... Yeah, I was thinking it was late there in France--I'm used to seeing you working more during the day (my day) and less around this time. I just made a lot of edits to this page and to all the Portal:Minor pages. It's very late and I know I made a ton of mistakes. Automation

We seem to keep adding characters to Season One, and it gets very annoying to keep updating all the portals. Plus, I'm afraid that we're missing characters along the way. I'm going to automate this page later...any objections? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:41, 27 January 2010 (EST)
