Some characters had their abilities evolved in a way they can do many seemingly unrelated things.
Known abilities
Ability supercharging
Ando Masahashi can generate energy which amplifies abilities of the others and acts like electricity.
Accelerated probability
Santiago and Edward can see possibilities of situations and move themselves to the wanted outcome at increased speeds. Edward can also create electricity.
Empathy
Lydia can feel whatever others feel. However, she is also able to express what she feels in her tattoos and somehow locate others anywhere and anytime.
Enhanced strength
Knox could feel others' fear and use it to increase his own physical strength.
Enhanced synesthesia
Emma Coolidge can see sounds as colors. She is also able to control sound at some degree.
Freezing
Tracy Strauss can freeze things and turn herself into water.
Healing touch
According to Noah Bennet, Jeremy Greer's healing ability evolved into killing living things with touch.
Intuitive aptitude
Sylar and Samson Gray possess the ability of intuitive aptitude, which allows them to understand how everything works and absorb abilities of the others.
Mental manipulation
René can suppress abilities, erase memories and knock others out.
Precognitive dreaming
Angela Petrelli can see the future in her dreams and enter the dreams of others.
Rapid cell regeneration
Claire Bennet can recover from any injury. At some point, she became unable to feel pain.
Sound manipulation
Echo DeMille could create any sound with his voice. He could also absorb electricity to convert it into sound.
Super speed
Daphne Millbrook could move at superhuman speeds. However, her ability also negated her cerebral palsy.
Telepathy
Matt Parkman is a telepath, which means he can control minds of the others. However, he developed the ability to see and paint the future. This was explained by BTE: "Matt's ability is to access the mind — or at least that's how it started. But as he grew powerful and as Usutu opened it up more to the "dreamtime", he began to access that same plane of consciousness that Isaac and Usutu drew from to paint."
Terrakinesis
Samuel Sullivan can manipulate earth-based substances. However, he is also able to sense presence of other evolved humans and increase his own potential.
Unknown abilities
- In 2007, an agent was shown to levitate and create electricity. It is unclear if his levitating ability evolved into shooting lightnings, or vice versa.
Notes
- All evolved humans above are listed as having one main ability. Seeing how the same abilities can have different versions, it raises a question whether their possessors should be listed as having multiple abilities, or if each version should be considered as a different ability, or if these are simply the examples of ability development.
