Welcome to Heroes Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you are new to Heroes, you might want to start at the New User Portal.
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style.
- If you're ready to get started, Template:Todo lists some ways you can help out.
- Of course, if you have your own idea for a new article, that's great, too.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add --~~~~ or click the signature button.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to the end of your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for an administrator.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
- Additionally, if you would like to add any fanmade content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Nero/ to the page title when you create the page.
Once again, welcome to Heroes Wiki!
Categorizing and Sourcing Images
Hi Nero, welcome to the wiki. I've noticed that you've uploaded three images to the site (here, here, and here). You aren't really expected to know the rules for uploading images in your first few moments here, but for future reference keep in mind that you must categorize any image you upload (for personal use images, for example, you'd put [[Category:User Images]]) and you must also provided a source for the image. This is as simple as providing the site where you took the image from. I've nominated all three images for deletion simply because that is standard procedure, but if you provide the source for each image, you can remove the tags yourself.
If you need any help don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page. Thank you.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 00:06, 29 June 2010 (EDT)
- It's been several days since my first reminder. Just keep in mind that if you don't source them soon they can be deleted at any time by an administrator. Also, you must use those images in some way, shape or form, as Heroes Wiki is not a file-hosting site.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 12:58, 2 July 2010 (EDT)
