* 6/21 -- IGN announces the name of the first episode of Season Two: Four Months Later. (See for spoilers.) Other highlights from Tim Kring regarding Season Two:
** Tim Sale will continue to be involved with Heroes. "The idea of the paintings is going to have a clever reentry into the show."
** The first few episodes will reveal a "tremendous mystery [that] happened in those four months" after the events of How to Stop an Exploding Man.
** In discussing the characters of Angela Petrelli, Charles Deveaux, Kaito Nakamura, and Mr. Linderman, Tim Kring said "This season, one of those themes that we're going to talk about is the sins of the parents being visited upon the children. This idea of how generationally we are left with problems that we have to fix."
** Kaito is an evolved human and his power will be revealed.
** Many characters' stories will be "reset to the beginning", trying to regain normalcy in their lives. Jeph Loeb echoes this idea in a 6/13 interview: "When we come back in Season Two, we will have stripped everything back down to where we were in the pilot. If there is an ad concept line for this season it's 'How do you become ordinary once you've been extraordinary?" The fancy version is 'How do you keep 'em down on the farm once they've seen Paris?'"
** Regarding Matt Parkman, Kring was coy about his return, stating that he was a popular character and that aspect plays a part in deciding Matt's fate. Later, Kring admitted, "There is some element of his presence" in Season Two.
** Heroes will frequently introduce new villains and "new bad guys".
** James Kyson Lee (Ando) is in discussions with NBC to possibly become a regular.
** Regarding Christopher Eccleston (Claude), Kring was complimentary, but not definite: "We love Christopher and he's a very busy, working actor. I absolutely would love to have him back and it's really about finding the time to work him in."
** Niki/Jessica's powers will be "redefined".
** Meredith Gordon and other briefly seen characters will "absolutely" return. "These smaller characters that we've met along the way, some have greater significance."
** Bryan Fuller will be leaving the show. New writers joining the team include J.J. Philbin, Joy Blake, and Melissa Blake.
* 6/21 -- In a phone conversation, casting director Jason La Padura said some of the recent announcements may be false. He said NBC has released some of the announcements, while others have been wrongly leaked to the media. He said he was not at liberty to distinguish the falsehoods from the truths.
* 6/20 -- Zona Heroes (Spanish) posted 17 images of Season Two production. Hayden Panettiere is the main subject of the photographs as she is in every one. The photo set also captures Jack Coleman, Greg Beeman, and most intriguingly, Nick D'Agosto.
* 6/20 -- The Hollywood Reporter announces that six new cast members have been added:
** Barry Shabaka Henley will portray Detective Fuller, a police officer with the NYPD.
** Holt McCallany will portray Ricky, the ringleader of a group of Irish thugs.

** Eriko Tamura will portray the princess.
** Lyndsy Fonseca will portray April, a sweet cheerleader from Southern California who will come into contact with Claire.
** Dianna Agron will portray Debbie, a mean cheerleader from Southern California who will come into contact with Claire.

* 6/16 -- BuddyTV and Access Hollywood confirm that Zachary Quinto (Sylar) will return in Season Two. They also hint that we will learn more of his connections with cockroaches.
* 6/16 -- "On the rumor side of things, David Anders of Alias fame is all but confirmed to play the part of next season’s central villain Kane. Kane is apparently over a thousand years old and has a lust for power that is a little more elegant than Sylar. Aside from the alleged ability to control hordes of insects, a suitably biblical power for a villain named Kane, not much is known about the new character." Source: BuddyTV
* 6/14 -- The first episode will feature a villainous Japanese warlord who is known as "White Beard," various old Japanese villagers as well as Tuko, a West-African man working for Irish mobster Ricky. Source: SpoilerFix.com

A "sexy little Japanese thing," she will be a recurring character who will premiere in the first episode of Season Two. Kristin also reports that Nathan will return--Adrian Pasdar says his character will have a "journey of redemption for the sins of past."
* 5/31 -- "I tried to get an answer out of Greg (about whether he will return next season to the show), but he's not budging. All he'll say is the audience shouldn't "assume anything" about Matt's fate. He then added, "This will be the hardest secret I have ever had to keep during a hiatus." -Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
* 5/27 -- Several new characters will be introduced in the season premiere including:
** Maya, a Hispanic woman in her mid 20s.

* 5/14 With "Heroes" its only new hit of the season, struggling NBC announced a fall schedule Monday that includes a spinoff and three other dramas also trading on supernatural themes. To stretch the normal 22-episode season of "Heroes," which faltered after its long hiatus this year, NBC will add "Heroes: Origins." The spinoff will introduce a new character each week, and viewers will select which one stays for the following season. The two series will have 30 new episodes combined. * According to Kristin Veitch, season two will be titled "Volume Two: Generations" and will focus more on our current character's ancestors.
* According to Entertainment Weekly issue #933, more episodes will focus on a single character, like Season One's Company Man.
