Future Hiro is not actually the future version of Hiro, but an impostor.	When Hiro went to future New York and called Ando, Ando said he'd been missing for weeks (Don't Look Back), but in the future of The Second Coming, Hiro didn't go missing but instead was already present in that future. Future Hiro shouldn't be there just as he wasn't in future New York's timeline, meaning it must be someone else.	+ In Out of Time, Peter, using Hiro's ability, traveled to the future and also seems to have disappeared in the meantime. - This could be merely a gaffe on the part of the writers, as certain elements of time travel have been shown not to add up on the show.
The future Hiro seen in The Second Coming was actually the villain in the Ando/Hiro confrontation, and not Ando.	None	+ Hiro was the one who attacked first, with no hesitation, and with no real provocation, other than the fact that future Ando "betrayed him". + Ando seemed reluctant to attack his friend, and only did it once Hiro charged. + The fact that future Hiro is now wearing black rimmed glasses could be significant of his descent into evil. - Wearing a specific color doesn't make you good or evil. + It was obviously meant that Hiro's black rimmed glasses were chosen so as to be representative of his descent into evil; a symbol. - Ando is wearing the Pinehearst pin in the future. • Daphne worked for Pinehearst in the future, but she wasn't evil.
Future Hiro did not defend himself with his abilities because he has lost them as his present self recently did.	None	+ Hiro drew his sword instead of stopping time or teleporting behind Ando to confuse him. + Ando's ability charged for a moment, if he could have Hiro would have used his powers.
The fight we see between Future Hiro and Ando is an act.	None	• It's logically possible that future Hiro and Ando remember what Hiro from the past saw; in order to not change history they decide to act out the event (with Ando only knocking out Future Hiro with his power, instead of killing him). This could mean that both are still on the same side and it was an attempt to prevent history from changing. + Perhaps they did this to save the world. They know that evolved humans are being hunted, and perhaps they want the world to split in two for an evolved human to save it, therefore evolved humans would be thought of as heroes and accepted by normal humans. And the only way for this plan to work would be to re-enact the event seen by past Hiro so they won't change history. (This means the fight is within a temporal loop, past Hiro seeing the fight results in the actions which eventually lead to the fight).
Ando killed/incapacitated Hiro after finding out what he has done for Samuel.	None	+ Hiro showed that he was willing to commit evil acts to save Charlie (Brother's Keeper). If Ando found out, then he might use his ability to stop Hiro from interfering. • Questionable actions aren't necessarily evil. + Taking a man who is trying to save the world (and who is a long-time friend) and making him disappear for eight weeks by, say, dumping him off nine weeks in the future is morally gray. Making that man disappear by locking him in an insane asylum under a different name isn't morally gray; it's more like something that the Joker might do to Batman. If Mohinder tries to convince the staff that he is not Mr. Amadi, anything he says will be written off as the ravings of a madman. The psychological trauma such concerted disbelief inflicts (along with the effects of whatever drugs he is being treated with) could easily reduce Mohinder to a gibbering wreck within a month, much less nine weeks. - There was nothing else for Hiro to interfere with, at least on what it was shown, having the formula is different from changing the past. + Samuel told Hiro to wait after he fetched the film. It seems probable that Samuel plans to continue using Hiro's powers for some time, using Charlie as a hostage. If that is correct, then Hiro might cause even more harm before the moment when Ando blasts him. - Ando might decide to help Hiro against Samuel, who in his wishes to become more powerful would certainly count Ando's ability as a valuable addition. It would require only one person for him to become more powerful. + Hiro was holding the formula. If Samuel somehow finds out about it, he might force Hiro to go back in time, get it, and use it. This would allow Samuel to increase his 'power base' and boost his ability. - Unless someone lets escape that such a thing ever existed, it is unlikely that Samuel will ever learn of the formula's existence. + Hiro's psyche was recently warped by Damian. If that mental distortion unhinges him, even temporarily, he might decide get a copy of the formula for Samuel as a way to get Charlie back. - The formula will not work without the catalyst. That even Hiro cannot retrieve. + It can grant abilities without the catalyst; you just end up with horrific side-effects. If Hiro's memories were sufficiently damaged, he may forget about the catalyst's existence. • Hiro's memories may not have been damaged, maybe Damien gave him aphasia instead. + After Damien used his ability, Hiro's eyes went dead white. Then, after babbling phrases from Sherlock Holmes and Star Trek, he suddenly disappeared. This is more suggestive of a catastrophic failure of Damien's ability, not aphasia.
