Born in Santa Barbara and raised in rural New Hampshire, Tom was a voracious reader as a child. He got into interactive storytelling when he became a gamemaster for some pen-and-paper roleplaying games. Though he went to law school to become a literary agent, his life took a different path, and Tom began working in the entertainment industry with new media. He worked on some of the webisodes for ''[[Superman|Smallville]]'', and wrote the webisode series ''The Lex Files'' for the show. Tom Inkel is an iStory writer. He also wrote for the Linderman Election Hack story found in Heroes Evolutions content during Season One. Later, he helped write communications and puzzles found in the Evs Dropper storyline, and he also wrote some Assignment Tracker 2.0 profiles.
