What Angela says in the sneak peek clip seems to further confirm the Heroes brain-power link. They're kind of like vampires, eh? Except instead of being vulnerable to exposed sun, odd things happen when there's an eclipse, and ooh... decapitating their heads is a sure way to kill them! --Torley 03:36, 3 December 2008 (EST)

As a Romanian, I am well aware of vampiric myths. The "scientific" approach to the piercing through the heart is that the vampire looses blood which kills any creature with blood. Silver is used because it makes a reaction with vampiric blood making it a poison or acid. Vampires need blood because of their super high metabolism(that grant biological immortality, enhanced abilities) and eating wouldn't be a fast enough absorption of nutriments. Human blood is packed with nutriments to feed the body do sucking blood is a shortcut. Ingesting blood does not add it to the vampire bloodstream. Vampires still digest the blood and get a larger percentage of nutriments from it than normal humans get from food.

I noticed many religious and supernatural interpretation of things happening in Heroes and I am sick of it. In the Heroes universe, people say CLEARLY that this is because of evolution, its actually an exact science(because of The Formula) as according to the evolution theory, most of the "powers" seen in Heroes will actually happen: perfect memory, mental-digital manipulation, enhanced physical abilities (but not flight or energy beams).

Sylar is not a demon, Peter is not an angel, Arthur is not a vampire, God did not give them abilities. If that where true, then God gave us the ability to sing which is not that important NOW. As Marvel's X-Men's Apocalypse describes himself evolved as far from mutants as mutants are from humans, an even higher state of existence is possible that makes "powers" ordinary. Even Peter or Sylar make...flight seem a piece of cake.

Please stop associating Heroes with superstitious things and enjoy it as a scientific scenario that might happen (hopefully with cheerleaders :D )Discipol

Oh, come ON, it's FICTION. The folks in charge of the screen writing for this show have already contradicted themselves several times throughout the show (time descrepencies, etc.) and there's no point looking at it from a science-y perspective since totally unscientific events have already occured on the show (Hiro playing around with the INTANGIBLE LIGHT of Daphne's blurred image, for instance).

As far as religion goes, though, the show is pretty secular. Although there are references to the Christian God through the on-again-off-again semi-devout Nathan Petrelli, and the Haitian's similarly oscillating relationship with whatever he believes in (they can't seem to make up their minds about whether he believes in the Haitian gods, the Christian God, or "the universe"), the overall tone of the show seems totally agnostic. Erm, except for that one online comic book with the woman who can see ghosts... That's kinda...weird...

But anyway, I don't see why you'd care whether other people choose to associate Heroes with "superstitious things," as you say. If some people prefer to enjoy it as a pseudo-spiritual thing with cheerleaders, let them! --Cosmic AC 18:41, 4 December 2008 (EST)

I think it is interesting how different characters struggle with the root of what is going on. I believe that represents real life a bit better than everyone simply buying into one theory. Some view it as evolution, some view their changes as God's doing, and some seem to take a combined view. Sounds like a real-life discussion to me. If you live in a world where all your friends and relatives believe the exact same thing about why things happen the way they do, then you must live in either North Korea, China, or Saudi Arabia. I think people in most of the world are quite familiar with the multiple ideas of life flowing around them at any given time.--Mtundu 22:42, 4 December 2008 (EST)

The Haitian's motives

I really do wonder why The Haitian is helping Angela & team. There seems to be backstory loyalty involved. --Torley 03:37, 3 December 2008 (EST)

Multiple Reasons for changes makes for Good Storytelling
