*** No, I would give that honor to [[Trevor's ability]]. I would actually really like to have underwater breathing, seeing as how I'm a swimmer. And I wouldn't mind having imprinting to finish those homework assignments in a flash. But why would I want the ability to... break glass? {{User:Thrashmeister/Autosig}} 19:37, 19 February 2009 (EST)

Source/Explanation
Alex Woolsley tells Claire that he can "breathe underwater" (Building 26).

I just don't get it

  • Why would they capture him? How is breathing underwater dangerous for the society??? :S--NiveKJ13 (talk2me) 08:08, 17 February 2009 (EST)
    • He could use it. For instance, he could sneak into a navy base...hide in the water and kill someone who passes by without anyone knowing...and he could hide on the bottom of the ocean afterward without anyone being able to get to him. It's not dangerous in itself but could be used dangerously. Golden Monkey 08:47, 17 February 2009 (EST)
    • They're tracking everyone with abilities, no matter how nonthreatening the ability is. But Alex's ability can be used dangerously as Golden Monkey said. Anyways, I think Alex has the ability of lung adaptation like Bianca Karina. But we'll see about that through the future episodes.--Alen76 09:38, 17 February 2009 (EST)
  • Aquaman has underwater breathing.
    • And other, more useful, abilites. Bloodbath 22:30, 17 February 2009 (EST)

lung adaptation

  • why this isnt the same power as bianca ,i think we should merge the 2 pages
    • Nothing suggests he can breath with poison gas or things like that, with what we have now, his ability is only similar to Bianca's. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 12:02, 17 February 2009 (EST)
      • I agree with Intuitive Empath, he says he can breathe underwater whereas Lung adaptation is adapting the persons lungs to any environment, so until he breathes when their is poisonous gas around for example these two should stay separate. --posted by Laughingdevilboy

        • Besides, didn't Bianca had a limit to how much time she could stay underwater? Alex doesn't seems to have one.--Ikkian 12:14, 17 February 2009 (EST)

Talk 12:16, 17 February 2009 (EST)

            • If she had, it was never mentioned, all they said is that she was capable of being underwater for more than two hours. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 12:16, 17 February 2009 (EST)
              • No, Bianca's AT profile said she could hold her breath for an indefinite amount of time. I think Alex and Bianca probably have the same ability, so I'm hoping the next episode shows him breathing in knockout gas so we can merge the pages. --Piemanmoo 14:56, 17 February 2009 (EST)
  • but maybe he doesnt know he ca breath with poisonuos gas , like parkman at the begining he only thought he can read mnds , but then ... so is not conclusive

Graphic Novels?

  • Why is this ability classified in Graphic Novels? --Ikkian 12:06, 17 February 2009 (EST)
    • It was because that's (so far) the only place it's actually been demonstrated even though he mentioned it in Building 26. (Admin 12:10, 17 February 2009 (EST))
      • OK, I really wasn't sure at which moment one's ability gets transfered over, thanks.--Ikkian 12:14, 17 February 2009 (EST)
        • When an ability has appeared in a webisode or episode then the ability is listed on the ability portal, if the ability only appears in a graphic novel it stays on the graphic novel portal. Hope that helps :) --posted by Laughingdevilboy

Lamest Ability

  • Not that it wouldn't be cool to have, but isn't this by far the least powerful/useful ability in the Heroes universe? --PohTayToez 14:11, 19 February 2009 (EST)
    • If you include the Graphic Novels, I'd give that "honor" to imprinting.--Cro Magnon 14:24, 19 February 2009 (EST)
      • No, I would give that honor to Trevor's ability. I would actually really like to have underwater breathing, seeing as how I'm a swimmer. And I wouldn't mind having imprinting to finish those homework assignments in a flash.
