So he had cyrokinesis. He was frozen in mid-bite. So James Walker had his brain cut open ''and'' Sylar poked around in his brain...and he never once ''moved''? His arm stayed in the air while he was ''dead''? Or did Sylar pose him dramatically before freezing him? --[[User:Golden Monkey|Golden Monkey]] 10:41, 20 November 2008 (EST) |

Date of Death
According to Mohinder, he was killed "nine days ago". Someone who pays attention to the timeline can probably figure out the date.--Hardvice (talk) 01:24, 5 December 2006 (EST)
James Walker's power
Mohinder now has a website. In his wiki he says James Walker had Cryokinesis. I'm putting this here because I'm not sure what the protocol is for information outside of the series.
- The information in that wiki is added by fans and isn't a reliable source that can be referenced here. In fact there's a good chance it's completely wrong since Sylar apparently froze James Walker prior to stealing his power, so if that's true James couldn't have had that ability. (Admin 09:12, 7 March 2007 (EST))
- See here for a previous discussion on evidence why James Walker's power is most likely not cryokinesis. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:47, 7 March 2007 (EST)
- Then again Sylar could have been testing the freezing power after he took it from James Walker (although extremly unlikely). I don't think he did this, I'm just putting this theory out there. I think he had another power, though probably not one very helpful, like Dream manipulation, which, to a serial killer, may not be that helpful. One other thing how do we known that James Walker even had a power?, how could Sylar have found out? He could have used a list, but that doesn't make sense, he could have just keep killing people (and wouldn't have needed Mohinder later on).--Patrick 20:20, 22 April 2007 (EDT)
- You should read the discussion Ryan linked to. He's frozen mid-bite, then his head his cut open afterwards (it's not a clean cut, but kind of shattered). --Bob 20:21, 22 April 2007 (EDT)
- We know James Walker had a power because Sylar removed his brain and because Mohinder said he was on the list (Fallout). Sylar found James because he memorized lots of names from the map (Road Kill). Zane was the last name he remembered from the map--it was just good(?) karma for Sylar that Mohinder showed up when he did so he could have access to the list and the happy couple could go EH-hunting. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:21, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

- Woh. It's been almost a year since someone posted here. James Walker did appear on Gabriel's List in the episode Villians. --ACDC1989 06:54, 12 November 2008 (EST)
James and Mrs. James in The Hard Part
- If anybody has a good hi-def transfer they can screencap from, we can get not-murdered pictures of these guys. The picture is way too small at Tivo resolution, but we should be able to make decent character portraits from it at 720p.--Hardvice (talk) 16:24, 8 May 2007 (EDT)
Picture in Character History
While there might be some, none of the character pages I've read have thumbs in the "Character History" section. Including this shot there looks odd to me. --FissionChips 15:41, 25 October 2007 (EDT)
- It would certainly look better in a gallery, perhaps with the other photos of his family.--Hardvice (talk) 15:45, 25 October 2007 (EDT)
Cryokinesis CONFIRMED
Hooray! We know where the freezing came from!!!![1]
Because i'm new, didn't want to edit it in just yet. --Crazylicious 18:12, 17 November 2008 (EST)
- Good call. :) It's something that's been speculated about for a while, but the evidence didn't seem to support it at the time. It probably would have been reverted without a link to the CBR interview in the edit summary. While I don't think the scene was very indicative of what the say happened, it doesn't sound like they were playing any tricks with their answer so it seems confirmed to me. (Admin 18:36, 17 November 2008 (EST))
- Funny, I was sure it was a joke because of the tone and italics used. If he was frozen afterward, then why is his arm in the air like he was in mid-bite? I dont buy this. --Action Figure 00:13, 18 November 2008 (EST)
- I never did undersand the arguement against James Walker having Cyrokinesis. --Dman dustin 00:15, 18 November 2008 (EST)
- In the scene James's arm is in mid-air. The conventional argument was that he must have been frozen like that... since had Sylar removed his brain first he certainly wouldn't have left his arm in mid-air like that. That reasoning and the fact that it was never directly stated before was the reason we couldn't attribute freezing to James. Now they've confirmed it came from James so I suppose we have to assume (though not actually state) that he immobilized James using telekinesis first, took his ability, and then froze him afterwards. It's not the most obvious way to interpret the scene based on no other information, but with their comment it seems that's the way they intended it. (Admin 00:40, 18 November 2008 (EST))
- Assuming no joke, it seems thats the the way they intend it NOW. I am almost positive there was an earlier interview where they said James was NOT the person Sylar got cryo from. I am not going to look through them all to find it, but im pretty sure of it --Action Figure 16:14, 18 November 2008 (EST)
- More evidence against this being their original intentions (besides the OBVIOUS)... 1, James had no ice INSIDE his skull. 2, this quote, "You know, three months ago my job made perfect sense to me. And then i pulled the Sylar case. Crime scenes with no finger prints, bodies frozen, brains removed..." Audrey said this in Seven Minutes to Midnight, before Charlie was killed. Sylar's previous victim was James.--Action Figure 00:31, 19 November 2008 (EST)

- Its possible that Sylar is freezing(not ice) James using telekinesis while he was eating, so he can't move leaving his hand in mid-air. Then Sylar stole his ability, and tried it at him....thats what I think--NiveKJ13 11:24, 19 November 2008 (EST)
- That's not what the writers said. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:26, 19 November 2008 (EST)
- And either way, thats your theory and thus speculation. Nearly everything would tell you otherwise anyway, and Occam's Razor would say simplest is best here. I think its noteworthy on the page, and I plan to restore the note if it is agreed upon. (Someone removed it without reason, and I can't think of a reason NOT to mention it.) --Action Figure 17:37, 19 November 2008 (EST)
- Also, the complete quote is, "Yes. That is exactly what we always thought. Killed. Absorbed. Tested. In that order, all in that Craftsman." What does the Craftsman thing mean? This sounds like a joke that I just dont get. --Action Figure 22:09, 19 November 2008 (EST)
