G-N Entry

It is very good so far! I can't wait to see what becomes of him! He seems very interesting and can fit into the story line well! It doesn't follow one requirement(the connection part) but the way Jordan's character history was played out, he kind of does. The thing about going undergroud and knowing karate, while it doesn't have a connection to a character, it does kind of. So, I will let it slide. Math Solution on Orientation Page

The solution I gave is a general solution with parameters to the following problem I thought I saw on the board:

x+2y+3w+4z=10

2x-y+w-z=1

3x+y+4w+3z=11

-2x+6y+4w+10z=18

If the problem is correct, then the system is dependent which means it has an infinite amount of solutions of the form

x=2.4-s-.4t

y=3.8-s-1.8t

w=s

z=t

If you plug the solutions back in to the equations they will all work.

I guess it is not necessary to write the solutions with parameters (s and t), but that is a way to write them in a Linear Algebra class. You could also just write the general solution:

x=2.4-w-.4z

y=3.8-w-1.8z

By the way, a simple solution that fits in this form and also solves the equation is

x=1

y=1

w=1

z=1

But again, it is only one of many solutions that work.
