• Maya was initially very reluctant to use her power at all. However, under Sylar's influence, she has become less so, going so far as to kill a border patrol to enter the U.S. and drive off before Alejandro could begin to revive them.

Maya will be the cause of the biohazard event in New York. Either she turns evil and kills her brother or Sylar kills Alejandro. In either case this will result in her losing control of her powers thus causing the biohazard event. None + In The Line Sylar reveals to Alejandro that he is either going to kill him and Maya or manipulate Maya into becoming a killer--his "shiny new toy".

+ Sylar could possibly regain his powers. He would then kill Alejandro to take his immunity to Maya's black tears. This would allow him to survive the attack and pretty much rule the world with Maya at his side.
- The Evacuation Timeline is confirmed to be a result of the Shanti virus crossing over into the general population. (Out of Time)
