Character History
Graphic Novel:Trust Issues, Part 1
In Borno Industries building, Cushing is startled when Thompson, Jr., Devin and Gael Cruz arrive and find him standing next to the dead body of Jamie Wu. When they accuse him of the murder, he uses his ability to create a hole in the floor and flee.
Cushing becomes followed by Thompson, Jr., who forces him to fight him. While sparring, Cushing says that he received a note saying that Jamie Wu knew who evsdropr really is, and he came there to meet her. Cushing then gets the better of Thompson, Jr., and is about to kill him when Devin shoots Cushing dead. Cushings last words are that evsdropr is always watching.
Evolved Human Abilities
Cushing has the ability to generate highly corrosive fluids. When using it, his hand drips liquid that quickly eats through metal. He seems to be unaffected by the fluids he creates.
Notes
- Although his first name is not mentioned in the novel's dialogue, it is clearly given in the script.
Trivia
- A week prior to Cushing's debut, evsdropr sent out a message with a sequence of numbers and symbols, 7-!$-9-*-19-@!-3. When the symbols are matched to their corresponding number on a keyboard and the numbers are changed to letters (1 = A, B = 2, C = 3, etc.), the sequence spells out "G-N-I-H-S-U-C", Cushing spelled backwards.
