Wendy and Lisa is the group name of the musical duo Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman. They are responsible for the background music used in the series Heroes.

About

Lisa Coleman first rose to musical stardom in 1980 when she joined the group Prince and The Revolution. Several years later, she was able to convince Prince to hire her childhood friend Wendy Melvoin, and Wendy joined The Revolution in 1983. Together, they rose to stardom with the critically acclaimed album Purple Rain. In 1986, Prince dissolved The Revolution, and the duo formed their own production group.

Wendy and Lisa are responsible for music composition on a number of television shows and movies, including Dangerous Minds and Tim Kring's Crossing Jordan.

Notes

  • In 2007, the ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards gave Wendy and Lisa the "Top Television Series" award for their work on Heroes.
