The Fights

Future Hiro + Future Peter v. Homeland Security

Homeland Security guards watch Nathan's speech about a method to reverse the genetic code when Future Hiro, Peter and Ando appear in front of them. They sound the alarms, bringing in numerous soldiers to try and stop them. Future Hiro slices several guards on the logo of Homeland Security, while Peter throws guards he finds to be in the way.

Future Hiro + Future Peter v. Future Matt

Future Hiro and Peter access the back room where they find the Haitian dead. Hiro and Ando celebrate seeing each other again when Future Hiro tells Hiro that he must return to the present. Hiro states that he is afraid that he will not be able to return back there, and Future Hiro volunteers to take him back - only for Matt to walk down the corridor and shoot him twice in the back. As Future Hiro dies, Peter shuts the door to stop Future Matt from gaining access.

Future Sylar v. Future Peter

Matt, attempting to break through the door to the interrogation room of Homeland Security, calls the President of the United States, Nathan, that his brother, Peter, is preventing them from accessing the room with Hiro inside, and he will escape if they fail to gain access. Nathan, still at the explosion memorial, flies away, shocking the audience, in a quick attempt to get to the building.

At the Department of Homeland Security, as Future Hiro dies from his wounds, Nathan drags Peter through the door and throws him down the corridor. Nathan orders Matt to break through the door and "finish this". Peter realises that Nathan is not Nathan, as he should not be able to phase his hand through anything. Nathan drops his illusion and becomes Sylar. Sylar tells Peter that he knows that it was Peter who exploded on November 8th. Peter states that he will get revenge for what Sylar did to Nathan. Sylar, freezing his hands, states that Nathan turned against his own kind before he killed him. Peter, igniting his hands, calls Sylar a liar. The two enter battle, where the shocks and bursts of energy shake the entire complex, giving off both red and blue lights.
