A live action pic of the pneumatic syringe

For the different types of pictures, there are different sizes mandated. Very many of the images tend to be full-frame captures, and Hiros is shot almsot in letter-box. Shouldn't the screen captures be the same aspect ratio then? -- Cuardin 16:41, 20 January 2007 (EST)

:Well actually, we just changed a few of the sizes so that there would be less variation. Really, there are only 4 sizes: 200x250 for characters etc., 300x169 for episode imgs, 300x200 for prophecy, and 450x350 for just about everything else. I'm sure it was a hassle for Hardvice (who did almost all of the resizing) to go back and redo every portal pic, and would be an even bigger hassle to go back and do them all again. But the good news is that those standards really only apply to the pics that go in the portals and in the infoboxes. The galleries have pics that are lots of differnt sizes. I would say that if you're grabbing a cap for a gallery, then it'd be okay to size it as you see best. The standards are good guidelines for gallery pics, but certainly not all the gallery imgs follow the standards - just the infobox/portal pics. Hope that makes sense, and makes things a bit easier on you. :) - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:00, 20 January 2007 (EST)

A live action pic of the pneumatic syringe
Regarding a pic of the pneumatic syringe, there wasn't really any good close up shots of the syringe in Unexpected, at least not something you'd want to use at 450x350 --Frantik (Talk) 04:26, 21 February 2007 (EST)

The idea for this page is great. I hope I didn't give you too much of headache looking for screencaps! What's the policy - should the requester delete the request, or the pic from the "Completed Caps" section? Should we leave it to be archived? .... Also, I'm going to add a link to this page to the To Do list - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:08, 3 December 2006 (EST)

 • Good idea! I'm guessing whoever uses the image should delete both the request and the posted picture. That way, It'll be easier to tell what needs to be capped, what needs to be used, etc.--Hardvice (talk) 22:44, 3 December 2006 (EST)

Re: A better pic of the medical text found in Sylar's apartment

There is a split-second shot of an exposed brain from that episode, but the image is pretty blurry. I can post a link if you like. --Yoshie (talk) 14:16, 6 December 2006 (EST)

Screen-cap aspect ratios

For the different types of pictures, there are different sizes mandated. Very many of the images tend to be full-frame captures, and Hiros is shot almsot in letter-box. Shouldn't the screen captures be the same aspect ratio then? -- Cuardin 16:41, 20 January 2007 (EST)
