This could refer to the root of the duplicates. - Being the "root" could also refer to Julien as the person who coordinates the Company's missions. + Julien claims he can "sense" his third clone, which might be due to a mental connection between Julien and the clones he creates. + Evan's replicates can finish each others sentences implying some form of telepathic connection between a replicator and their replicants. - It is not confirmed that the duplicates are Julien's clones, and Julien could have a clairvoyance-like ability. - Even if the duplicates are later confirmed to be of Julien, someone else could have made them. It could be that one of the Company's recent bag and tags has the ability to duplicate other people, and Julien was the subject of one of these replications.
